(DC Pundit) – It looks like the honeymoon is over for two of Hollywood’s most famous political pals. Word on the street is that George Clooney and Barack Obama’s bromance has hit a major rough patch. And let me tell you, it’s not pretty.
Rumor has it that Clooney’s seeing red, and it’s not from the carpet at his latest movie premiere. He’s reportedly “furious” with Obama for using him as a fall guy in the recent presidential election. Talk about being thrown under the bus!
An insider from Tinseltown spilled the beans to Radaronline, saying, “George is furious with Obama for disappearing after the election disaster and leaving him holding the bag for pushing the plan with his Hollywood pals.” Ouch! That’s gotta sting.
Another source chimed in, “George feels duped and vows he’s not going to be anyone’s political water boy anymore.” Looks like someone’s learned their lesson the hard way.
Now, let’s rewind a bit. Remember when Clooney penned that op-ed in the New York Times, calling for President Joe Biden to throw in the towel after his debate debacle in June? Well, folks were quick to connect the dots, figuring Obama was pulling the strings behind the scenes. After all, these two have been thick as thieves for years.
Once Biden stepped aside, Clooney jumped on the Kamala Harris bandwagon faster than you can say “lights, camera, action!” He even starred in a commercial trying to guilt-trip working-class men into voting for her.
Of course, we know this didn’t work. Donald Trump came out on top, snagging both the electoral and popular votes. And now, Clooney’s feeling like he’s been left holding the short end of the stick.
According to another insider, “George feels he stepped up and took a bullet for the team, and now everyone’s complaining about the bloodbath.” It’s like he showed up to a gunfight with a knife, and now he’s the one bleeding.
The source went on to say, “Lots of celebrities, like Beyoncé, were on the campaign trail pumping up Kamala, but George became the face of the Hollywood liberals by directly calling for Biden to end his campaign and throwing the whole process into chaos.”
Poor George is hoping Obama will come to his rescue and clear the air. But let’s be real, – he might be barking up the wrong tree. As the source put it, “He thinks Obama should come forward and say that George did the right thing and it isn’t his fault that it didn’t work out. But he doesn’t expect that will be forthcoming, and it’s left George feeling like a patsy.”
Looks like Clooney’s learned that in politics, you’re only as good as your last performance. And this one might just have been a box office bomb.
