(DC Pundit) – Well, folks, we’ve got a real doozy of a story here. It’s a tale that mixes family drama, political tension, and a shocking act of violence that’ll leave you speechless.
Picture this: It’s Election Night, and Donald Trump has just trounced Kamala Harris. Now, most people might react to this news with either celebration or disappointment, but for 33-year-old Corey Burke, it apparently pushed her over the edge.
Burke, who worked as a training program manager at Blue Origin (you know, Jeff Bezos’ space company), allegedly decided to take out her frustrations on her own father, Timothy Burke. And we’re not talking about a heated argument here – we’re talking about a full-on, horrific assault.
According to the New York Post, it all started with a spat over house lighting. Can you believe it? From there, things escalated quickly. Burke allegedly grabbed an ice axe from upstairs and went to town on her old man. The police report says she “tripped her father, choked and bit him on the floor, and struck him repeatedly with the blunt and sharp ends of the tool.”
Here’s where it gets even more chilling. After the attack, Burke reportedly sat down next to her dying father to watch him take his last breaths. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she went on a window-smashing spree throughout the house.
When the cops showed up, they found Burke “clapping … because she was so happy.” She described the whole ordeal as “an act of liberation.” Talk about a twisted perspective.
Now, here’s an interesting twist: Burke is married to Samantha Leigh Allen, a well-known transgender author who’s written books like “Real Queer America: LGBT Stories from Red States.” Allen also works as an editor at Them, a transgender news outlet owned by Conde Nast.
The police say Burke admitted to having a strained relationship with her dad, that left her feeling “hyperfocused and disorganized.” Apparently, Trump’s victory was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
When the officers arrived at the scene, Burke came out with her hands up, blood on her face, claiming she had no idea where it came from or who smashed the windows. Yeah, right.
