(DC Pundit) – University of Kansas instructor Phil Lowcock has departed from the university following his placement on leave after a controversial classroom remark surfaced on social media platform X. The video, which triggered his leave, captures Lowcock suggesting that men who refuse to vote for a female president should face violent repercussions.
KU Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Barbara Bichelmeyer addressed the matter on Friday, stating, “The instructor has left the university.” She further elaborated on the video, declaring “a KU instructor making a highly inappropriate comment in his classroom suggesting violence against individuals for their personal views.”
In the video, Lowcock can be heard saying, “(If you think) guys are smarter than girls, you’ve got some serious problems.” He continued, expressing frustration over societal biases, particularly towards female presidential candidates, stating, “There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president. We could line all those guys up and shoot them. They clearly don’t understand the way the world works.”
He then attempted to backtrack, adding, “Did I say that? Scratch that from the recording. I don’t want the deans hearing that I said that.”
The video, initially posted on X, gained significant attention after being shared by the account @libsoftiktok.
INSANE: Professor at @UnivOfKansas says that men who don't vote for Kamala should be lined up and shot.
He then asks that line to be cut from the recording so the dean doesn't find out.
