(DC Pundit) – Chuck Schumer just delivered one of the best arguments for passing the SAVE Act, and he didn’t even mean to. The Senate Minority Leader was clearly in panic mode this week when he warned reporters about the dangers of election integrity legislation, but his complaint backfired spectacularly.
While speaking to the press, the New York senator claimed that the SAVE Act would purge millions of people from the voter rolls. Does he mean illegal aliens and dead people? It’s probably safe to assume he does, because who else would need purging from voter registration lists?
This is exactly why millions of patriotic Americans support the SAVE Act.
Does Schumer even realize what he’s saying here?

Schumer is essentially admitting that there are millions of questionable registrations on the books, people who shouldn’t be voting in American elections. Whether it’s illegals, deceased individuals, or phantom voters who moved years ago, Schumer just confirmed they exist in substantial numbers.
For years, Democrats have insisted that voter fraud is a myth, that concerns about election integrity are baseless conspiracy theories, and that anyone questioning the security of our elections is a dangerous extremist. Yet here’s their Senate leader warning that cleaning up voter rolls would remove millions of registrations. If those millions are all legitimate voters, why would cleaning the rolls affect them?
The answer is obvious: they’re not legitimate. And Schumer knows it.
The SAVE Act is designed to ensure that only American citizens can vote in American elections, a concept that should be completely uncontroversial but has somehow become a partisan flashpoint. The legislation would require proof of citizenship for voter registration, something most Americans assume is already required.
It’s time to pass the SAVE Act and have real election integrity for the first time in years. Chuck Schumer just accidentally explained exactly why.
