(DC Pundit) – Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, is proving once again that she’s not afraid to take a sledgehammer to the Washington swamp. Gabbard revoked the security clearances of 37 Deep State officials who had their fingerprints all over the now-discredited Trump-Russia hoax.
One of the names stripped of access was Vinh Nguyen, a former aide to James Clapper, who served as Director of National Intelligence under Barack Obama. Nguyen and the others now find themselves on the outside looking in, without the privilege of classified access they once enjoyed.
In announcing the decision, Gabbard remarked, “Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right. Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. In doing so, they undermine our national security, the safety and security of the American people and the foundational principles of our democratic republic.”

That’s the kind of straight talk the American people have been craving for years, especially after watching unelected bureaucrats weaponize their power to try and take down President Trump with a phony narrative cooked up by Democrats and pushed by the media. For years, everyday Americans were told to “trust the experts,” only to discover that those same “experts” were playing politics with national security.

This move by Gabbard is more than symbolic, it sends a message. Security clearances are not participation trophies for Washington insiders who betray the country while collecting six-figure salaries. They’re supposed to be reserved for men and women who actually safeguard the United States, not undermine it.
By pulling clearances from those who helped drive one of the most damaging political hoaxes in American history, she’s making it clear that accountability is finally on the menu in D.C.
And for the Deep State operatives who thought they were untouchable: this is only the beginning.
