(DC Pundit) – FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell found herself in the hot seat on Tuesday, facing congressional committees about a shocking allegation: Trump supporters’ homes were intentionally skipped during disaster aid efforts after Hurricane Milton.
Criswell, speaking to two House committees, tried to downplay the incident, claiming it wasn’t a widespread issue within FEMA. Instead, she pointed the finger at a “rogue employee” who’s since been shown the door.
The employee in question, Marn’i Washington, allegedly told her staff to steer clear of homes with Trump flags in their yards. Talk about playing politics with people’s lives!
A whistleblower spilled the beans, sharing text messages that showed Washington ordering relief workers to give Trump-supporting homes the cold shoulder. It’s like something out of a political thriller, but this is real life, folks.

When Rep. Paulina Luna pressed Criswell on the matter, the FEMA chief had to come clean. She admitted that 20 houses with Trump signs were left high and dry when they needed hurricane relief. That’s not just a few isolated incidents – it’s a pattern.

The Daily Wire got their hands on some internal messages that paint an even uglier picture. According to their report, FEMA wasn’t just playing favorites – they were actively discriminating against Trump supporters who were struggling in the wake of recent hurricanes in the Southeast.
Whistleblowers say that relief workers were told it was "best practice" to pass over houses "advertising Trump."

Are we really living in a country where your political beliefs could determine whether you get help after a natural disaster? It’s a chilling thought.
Criswell may be trying to brush this off as the actions of one bad apple, but the numbers don’t lie. Twenty homes skipped over isn’t a small oversight – it’s a big problem that needs addressing.
The American people deserve to know that when disaster strikes, help will be there – regardless of who they voted for in the last election.
