(DC Pundit) – After days of media speculation over photos showing President Trump with slightly swollen ankles and a bruised hand, the White House stepped up Thursday to remind the press that facts, not speculation, are still a thing. You’d think they just discovered gravity with how breathless their reporting has been. But Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasn’t having it.
Speaking from the podium, Leavitt preemptively addressed the swirling rumors about Trump’s health, the kind of rumors that never seemed to interest the media when Joe Biden was wandering off stages and forgetting which decade he was in. Suddenly, the same press corps that ignored Biden’s word salads and glazed-over stares has rediscovered its curiosity — this time, over a bruise and some leg swelling.
Trump’s swollen ankles are due to chronic venous insufficiency (not “venus insufficiency”—but wouldn’t that be an interesting disorder), @PressSec asserts. The bruises on his hand are reportedly due to handshaking. https://t.co/DYuQZSN5lv pic.twitter.com/Vkyvg5Y3wW

Leavitt read a detailed memo from President Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, that laid it all out, clearly and professionally. Turns out the issue is chronic venous insufficiency, a very common, benign condition found in many people over 70 — and Trump is 78, not 48.
“In recent weeks, President Trump noticed mild swelling in his lower legs,” Barbabella wrote. “In keeping with routine medical care, and out of an abundance of caution, this concern was thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit.”

Luckily, it's nothing serious.
THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE HANDLED. NOT covered up like Joe Biden's illnesses!

Dr. Barbabella noted that Trump underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation, including vascular studies and ultrasounds, which revealed no evidence of dangerous issues like deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.
“All results were within normal limits,” the statement added. “An echocardiogram confirmed normal cardiac structure and function, and no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified.”
In other words: He’s fine.
Ironically, the same liberal media types now so very concerned about leg swelling were more than happy to gaslight the American people last year. You may recall the Biden White House trying to pass off obviously confused public appearances as “deep fakes” — because apparently, we weren’t supposed to trust our own eyes. But today, under President Trump’s leadership, the public is given actual information, no filters, no spin.
The difference is night and day: One administration hid the truth behind curtains and handlers, while the other deals with it head-on, with transparency, medical clarity, and yes, an occasional bruise that doesn’t need a conspiracy theory attached.
