(DC Pundit) – It looks like the man who once led the FBI and fronted the so-called “Russia collusion” investigation into President Donald Trump is now facing a far less public chapter in life. According to investigative journalist Paul Sperry, former FBI Director Robert Mueller, now 80, has reportedly been residing in a memory-care facility for the last few years.
Sperry, writing for RealClearInvestigations, divulged: “House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Robert Mueller to appear for a Sept. 2 deposition to provide details from an FBI investigation of Jeffrey Epstein from decades ago — even though sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years.”

That’s right. House Oversight Chairman James Comer just dropped a legal sledgehammer with a round of subpoenas targeting a long list of usual suspects from the Deep State Rolodex. Former President Bill Clinton? Check. Hillary Clinton? Of course. James Comey? Naturally. Robert Mueller? He made the list too, although whether he’ll even realize it is another matter altogether.
🚨BREAKING🚨
The House Oversight Committee is compelling the following individuals to appear for depositions through issued subpoenas:
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: October 9
Former President Bill Clinton: October 14
Former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland:…

Chairman Comer announced on Monday that the House Oversight Committee issued subpoenas to a slew of political elites and entrenched bureaucrats tied to various scandals, including Russiagate, a taxpayer-funded circus that was sold to the American public with all the credibility of a late-night infomercial.
Mueller was subpoenaed to testify under oath on September 2, specifically about his role in the FBI’s past handling of Jeffrey Epstein. Talk about irony. The man who couldn’t remember basic facts during his 2019 congressional testimony is now being asked to dig into events that took place decades ago.
Let’s not forget that infamous 2019 appearance before Congress, when Mueller looked less like a man in control and more like someone who’d wandered into the wrong meeting. He fumbled, stammered, and continually flipped through notes like a nervous high schooler unprepared for a final exam. That moment made it painfully clear that Mueller was never the brains behind the operation. He was simply the frontman, trotted out for optics while the real work was carried out behind the curtain.
That work, as many have pointed out, was largely orchestrated by Andrew Weissmann, Mueller’s top deputy, a man known for his aggressive, partisan legal tactics. The Russia hoax wasn’t Mueller’s baby, it was Weissmann’s. There’s also Rod Rosenstein and the DOJ brass who gave it their blessing. The whole thing had the fingerprints of partisan ambition all over it, not a passionate search for truth the media tried to sell it as.
As for the current state of Mueller’s mental faculties, Sperry’s report raises real concerns. If he’s truly in a memory-care facility, then dragging him before a House deposition seems more symbolic than substantive. It also raises some uncomfortable questions: How much did Mueller really know about the investigation that bore his name? And who was actually calling the shots?
Whether Mueller can meaningfully testify or not, the Committee’s broader aim is to expose the rot that enabled years of politically driven investigations, media hysteria, and wasted public resources.
Mueller may be fading from public view, but the consequences of the operation he was the face of are still very much alive. And for millions of Americans who watched their president be smeared and investigated without cause, that accountability is long overdue.
