(DC Pundit) – Far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett stopped by MS NOW this week and delivered one of the more entertaining fantasy monologues you’ll hear on cable news, confidently claiming that Republican voters in Texas will “absolutely” vote for her in a general election.
Yes. Absolutely.
Crockett, who has boosted her national profile over the past year largely by popping up on TV and saying increasingly absurd things, sat down with host Michael Steele and explained why conservatives are supposedly ready to abandon their principles and embrace her brand of progressive politics. Unsurprisingly, no one at MS NOW bothered to challenge her on any of it.
Steele asked, “Do you think Republicans, when you get to a general election, can be convinced that you are the representative they need in Washington?”
Crockett didn’t hesitate.
“Oh, absolutely. Now, Michael, you can maybe talk about this a little bit more because I think the Democrats have a perception of what Republicans want. And I think that, you know, what the real is. I think that Republicans aren’t looking for somebody that is Republican lite. They can just go and get the real thing. What they want is somebody that they know who they are. So I have text messages from Republicans that have made it clear that if there is a certain person that ends up making it through, they are absolutely voting for me because they know who I am.”

Ah yes — the famous unnamed Republicans with mystery text messages. Always a rock-solid political metric.
What Crockett seems to forget is that Texas conservatives usually vote based on policies, not vibes. They care about border security, crime, inflation, and protecting basic freedoms — all areas where Crockett and her far-left allies routinely land on the wrong side.
In reality, her appearance was less political analysis and more late-night comedy — minus the laugh track.
Crockett remains a walking reminder of how detached Washington progressives have become from everyday Americans. And while she may enjoy applause inside media echo chambers, the idea that Texas Republicans are lining up to vote for her is, frankly, laughable.
