(DC Pundit) – Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state and failed presidential candidate, is doing what she does best: lashing out at President Donald Trump, this time over his decision to send in the National Guard to restore order in Washington, D.C.
The outrage from Hillary and her cheerleaders in the corporate press came after Trump invoked Section 740 of the DC Home Rule Act, a rarely used but completely legal measure that allows the president to take direct control of the city’s Metropolitan Police Department in times of emergency. And make no mistake, the nation’s capital has been in a state of lawless freefall for far too long.

As part of the move, Trump also authorized the Secretary of Defense to deploy National Guard troops to assist in the cleanup effort and to keep the peace. The decision came on the heels of a particularly brutal incident in which Edward Coristine — known locally as “Big Balls” — was severely beaten by a mob of thugs.

“This city will no longer be a sanctuary for illegal alien criminals,” Trump stated. “We will have full, seamless, integrated cooperation at all levels of law enforcement, and we’ll deploy officers across the district with an overwhelming presence.” Translation: criminals who have been enjoying D.C.’s “catch-and-release” justice system are about to have a very bad week.

Hillary Clinton, of course, sees it differently. In her view, sending in the National Guard to stop violent crime is apparently “unhinged.” One might think a woman who once claimed to be a champion of women’s safety would support a crackdown on street violence, but then again, this is the same Hillary who thought destroying Libya was a brilliant idea and laughed about it afterward.

The deployment is part of a broader push by Trump and congressional Republicans to dismantle disastrous policies like no-cash bail, which have fueled crime spikes not just in D.C., but in every Democrat-run city that’s adopted them. It’s the kind of decisive, unapologetic action that separates actual leadership from empty political posturing.
For years, residents have watched crime rates soar, police morale sink, and politicians pretend that violent criminals are just misunderstood community members. Now, with Trump at the helm, D.C. is getting something it hasn’t seen in a long time: a leader who’s willing to use the full weight of federal authority to restore law and order.
And if Hillary Clinton thinks that’s “unhinged,” it might just be because she’s spent so long in political circles where public safety comes a distant second to political optics.
