(DC Pundit) – Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas, the self-styled scourge of President Trump, is once again making headlines. This time it’s over a blistering New York Post report that describes her as a “diva” running what sounds like the congressional version of a reality show… minus the ratings and with far more tears.
According to multiple former aides, Crockett’s idea of leadership is a mix of absence, attitude, and all-around apathy, except, of course, when there’s a camera rolling. One ex-staffer summed it up bluntly: “She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them.” In other words, the only thing she’s truly engaged in is self-promotion.
Crockett, 44, has represented her Texas district since 2023, but you wouldn’t know it from her schedule. The report claims she prefers operating out of a luxury office building rather than her actual congressional office, while making staff shuttle her around in a rented SUV — specifically an Escalade or something equally camera-worthy. And yes, staff are expected to open the door for her. Apparently, public service now doubles as valet service.

When she does speak, it’s often to lob profanity-laced attacks at President Trump, calling him a “piece of s***” and an “enemy to the United States.” Yet, according to those who’ve worked for her, she’s far more interested in booking a seat on ‘The View’ than fighting for the people who put her in office. As one source put it, “She’s more focused on, ‘Get me on The View,’ ‘Get me on this late-night talk show.’” Constituents? That’s a subplot she’s not developing this season.
Crockett’s charm offensive extends to her own staff. In one case, she mocked GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s appearance by calling her “butch.” When gay staffers expressed concern over the term, Crockett allegedly brushed them off with, “That’s not offensive… You’re stupid if you think so.” That’s one way to inspire workplace morale — if your goal is mass resignations.
The turnover rate in her office is described as brutal, with Black female staffers in particular feeling stripped of any sense of empowerment. One aide was reportedly brought to tears after Crockett told them, “Do you really want to be here? And if not, you can leave!” Nothing says “team building” like emotional eviction notices.
Her alleged behavior isn’t confined to staff, either. Earlier this year, Crockett was spotted cutting ahead of two passengers in wheelchairs while boarding a flight. A source close to her noted: “Her cutting in line in front of a handicapped person is really indicative of the type of person she is… interpersonally very rude and doesn’t get along well with people.”

For a lawmaker who never misses an opportunity to lecture America about compassion, dignity, and respect, it’s telling that her own employees, and apparently, strangers in wheelchairs, don’t seem to be on the receiving end.
