Just when you thought the Biden administration couldn’t possibly find new and creative ways to squander taxpayer dollars, Elon Musk’s DOGE has unearthed a doozy: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), under President Joe Biden, awarded a staggering $2 billion to a firm linked to none other than Stacey Abrams, the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate who still hasn’t quite conceded her loss. This is not just some run-of-the-mill bureaucratic blunder; it smells like a swamp creature trying to hide its ill-gotten gains.
To add insult to injury, this lucky firm, Power Forward Communities, reportedly only managed to scrape together a measly $100 in revenue during its first three months of operation in 2023. Yes, you read that right. One hundred dollars. That’s less than what most people spend on their morning coffee run during that same time frame! How in the world does an organization with such a dismal financial track record land a $2 billion jackpot courtesy of the U.S. government? Something is definitely rotten in Washington, and it’s not just the usual political stench.
Earlier this month, Lee Zeldin provided an update on the eye-watering sums wasted under Biden’s watch, spurred by undercover video footage released by Project Veritas in December. Apparently, EPA Advisor Brent Efron spilled the beans on camera, admitting to an “insurance policy” against the Trump administration and revealing that the agency was frantically funneling billions to climate organizations in a last-minute heist.
“We’re throwing gold bars off the Titanic,” Efron brazenly told a Project Veritas undercover journalist. You’ve got to admire the honesty, even if it’s dripping with contempt for the American taxpayer.

Zeldin seems to be trying to clean up this mess. As he announced last week, his team at the EPA has “found the gold bars.” He elaborated, stating that “roughly $20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA. This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposely designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.” In other words, a blatant attempt to bypass accountability and funnel money to favored groups before the adults could get back into the room.
According to Zeldin, this $20 billion was “awarded to just 8 entities that were then responsible for doling out your money to NGOs and others at their discretion with far less transparency. Just under $7 billion was sent to one entity called the Climate United Fund.” So, essentially, a select group of organizations got to play Santa Claus with taxpayer funds, handing out goodies with minimal oversight. What could possibly go wrong?

The Free Beacon, doing the job the mainstream media refuses to do, revealed that a staggering $2 billion of that recovered $20 billion was awarded to Power Forward Communities, the aforementioned brand-new nonprofit with ties to Stacey Abrams. Color me shocked.
Zeldin, clearly as aghast as the rest of us, responded to the Free Beacon’s report: “It’s extremely concerning that an organization that reported just $100 in revenue in 2023 was chosen to receive $2 billion. That’s 20 million times the organization’s reported revenue.”
The Free Beacon further reported: “DOGE discovered $2 billion in taxpayer funds set aside for a fledgling nonprofit linked to perennial Georgia Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams. The Environmental Protection Agency under the Biden administration awarded Power Forward Communities the grant in April 2024 as part of the agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program. Power Forward Communities received the green energy grant despite the fact that it was founded months earlier in late 2023 and never managed anywhere near the grant’s dollar figure—it reported just $100 in total revenue during its first three months in operation, according to its latest tax filings. Power Forward Communities’ grant was one of just eight Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grants that the EPA doled out in April 2024 and that, altogether, totaled $20 billion. EPA administrator Lee Zeldin announced on Feb. 13 that his staff and Department of Government Efficiency officials discovered that the Biden administration parked that same $20 billion at an outside financial institution before leaving office, limiting the federal government’s oversight of the program.”
It’s time for a thorough investigation and a serious reckoning for those responsible for this “gold bar” heist. The American people deserve better than to have their hard-earned money funneled to politically connected groups with little to show for it.
