(DC Pundit) – In a head-scratching attempt at rewriting reality, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) posted a now-deleted graphic on X that hilariously backfired, hard. The post, which was supposed to blame President Donald Trump for skyrocketing grocery prices, ended up doing the exact opposite. It actually highlighted how prices exploded after Joe Biden took office in January 2021.
The tweet, proudly stamped “Trump’s America,” featured a chart showing surging prices. The problem? The graph clearly showed that the price spikes began right around the time Biden entered the White House. That little detail didn’t go unnoticed.
One X user, Matthew Rosario, dryly commented, “I don’t know … Kinda looks like Biden’s America.” Yep. That about sums it up.
The White House rapid response team slapped a “Biden” label onto the portion of the graph where prices truly shot through the roof.

Conservative commentator Kyle Becker was quick to torch the post, calling it “one of the dumbest posts in @X history” before noting that it was deleted “after getting ratioed into oblivion.” And he’s not wrong, “ratioed” doesn’t even begin to describe the digital beatdown the DNC received for this stunt.

Another popular X user known as “Greg” chimed in, calling the graphic “the biggest self-own I’ve ever seen on this website.”

Let’s be clear: under Joe Biden, inflation surged to levels not seen since the disco era. In June 2022, inflation hit a brutal 9.1% annual rate, just 17 months into his presidency. And according to federal data, by the time Biden finally shuffled out of the Oval Office, food prices were up over 22% since the day he was sworn in.
Blaming Trump for a grocery bill disaster that unfolded entirely under Biden’s watch isn’t just dishonest, it’s insulting. It’s like torching your kitchen and then blaming the previous homeowner because you couldn’t figure out how to use a microwave.
The irony here is thicker than a block of government cheese. Democrats tried to dunk on Trump and ended up reminding the country just how much more expensive life became under their leadership. And the internet, as always, noticed.
Maybe next time the DNC will double-check their graphics before trying to pull a fast one on the American people.
