(DC Pundit) – It’s official: the FBI apparently believes that if you just ignore evidence long enough, it’ll magically disappear. That’s the takeaway after Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR), chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, dropped a political bombshell that should make Hillary Clinton sweat and the American people furious.
According to a scorching letter sent to FBI Director Kash Patel, the Bureau has been sitting on thumb drives full of unreviewed evidence tied directly to the Clinton email scandal — not for weeks or months, but for over six years.
Grassley, who’s made a name for himself by refusing to let bureaucrats bury scandals in red tape, posted on X:
“Thumb drives containing unreviewed info on the Clinton email scandal & mishandling of highly classified info [have] been sitting at an FBI offshoot office since 2018. I sent a letter [with] House Intel Chair Crawford asking [Director] Patel [to] review materials & report back ASAP.”

While the media obsessed over Trump’s every breath and the DOJ raided Mar-a-Lago over presidential records he was legally allowed to have, the FBI had thumb drives with Clinton-related evidence locked away in a Northern Virginia office, collecting dust like a forgotten box of donuts in a bureaucrat’s breakroom.
According to a joint press release, “This untapped and unreviewed information has lived within thumb drives in the FBI’s custody inside a Northern Virginia offshoot office of the FBI’s Washington Field Office since 2018.” The letter Grassley and Crawford sent stems from Grassley’s long-standing push to get the so-called “Clinton annex” — an appendix to the DOJ Inspector General’s 2018 report on the Clinton investigation — declassified.
Now, it appears the annex may have more teeth than the FBI ever wanted the public to see.
It’s worth remembering that the original 2018 report from the DOJ’s Office of Inspector General was already scathing, highlighting a number of failures in how the Clinton investigation was handled. But apparently, what we saw was just the tip of the iceberg, and this buried appendix could reveal exactly what Americans weren’t supposed to find out.
The fact that the FBI has held onto this material since 2018 without a single review is, frankly, inexcusable. Either they’re grossly incompetent or deliberately hiding the truth, and neither option is acceptable.
The clock is ticking. If Kash Patel, now serving as FBI Director under President Donald Trump, is serious about restoring integrity to the Bureau, this is the perfect place to start.
The American public deserves answers. No more stalling. No more excuses. And definitely no more cover-ups.
