(DC Pundit) – New York Governor Kathy Hochul just took political mudslinging to a whole new level during her recent MSNBC appearance, where she basically told millions of Americans they’re traitors for… wait for it… daring to vote Republican.

You know things are getting bad when a governor starts telling people they’re “anti-woman and anti-American” simply because they might check a different box on their ballot.

According to Democrats, having different political views makes you public enemy number one. And, they seem to be getting more comfortable with this kind of talk lately. Instead of trying to win people over with ideas and solutions, they’re going straight for the jugular, hurling insults at anyone who sees things differently.

New York Republican Lee Zeldin didn’t let this slide. He shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), knowing that most voters would see right through this desperate attempt to demonize half the country.

While Hochul is busy alienating potential voters, NY Rep. Elise Stefanik is suggesting something that would have seemed impossible not long ago: New York might actually go red for Trump this time around. Given the current political climate and reactions to rhetoric like Hochul’s, maybe it’s not such a far-fetched idea after all.

When political leaders resort to calling their opponents anti-American, it usually means one thing – they’re running scared. And based on Hochul’s comments, it seems the Democrats might be much more worried about their chances than they’re letting on.

(DC Pundit) – Vice President Kamala Harris loves to paint herself as a battle-hardened prosecutor who spent her “entire career in the trenches.” But when you start digging into her actual trial record, things get pretty interesting – and by interesting, I mean potentially misleading.

Let’s look at the numbers: The best evidence available suggests Harris personally tried somewhere between seven and 15 felony cases. These include a domestic violence scalping, one murder, armed robbery, and two child sex crimes. Pretty thin for someone claiming to have “tried hundreds of cases,” right?

Her career began in Alameda County in 1989. In her book ‘The Truths We Hold,’ Harris shares a personal moment about failing the bar exam but getting a chance to keep working until she passed in 1990. She stuck around Alameda until 1998 before heading to San Francisco’s district attorney’s office.

Now, here’s where things get fuzzy. The Alameda County DA’s office gave the New York Post a list of over 60 names they say Harris prosecuted. But they were pretty tight-lipped about the details – we don’t know if these were serious felonies or just traffic tickets. Even more interesting? We can’t find records from any of these cases except that 1996 scalping incident.

The real kicker came in 2003 when Harris ran for San Francisco DA. Her campaign materials boldly claimed she had “tried hundreds of serious and violent felonies, including homicide, rape, and child sexual assault cases.” But when challenged, her story kept changing.

During a heated debate on KGO Radio, Bill Fazio, her opponent, called Harris out directly, saying: “How many cases have you tried? Can you tell us how many serious felonies you have tried? Can you tell us one?”

Harris responded, “I’ve tried about 50 cases, Mr. Fazio, and it’s about leadership.” But that wasn’t the end of it. Fazio pushed back: “Ms. Harris, why does your information, which is still published, say that you tried hundreds of serious felonies? I think that’s misleading. I think that’s disingenuous.”

That same year, at a meeting of the Alice B. Toklas Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Democratic Club, Harris gave yet another number. When pressed three times about her trial record, she admitted to trying “under 30” cases, but attempted to pad her record by including misdemeanors that would bring the number closer to 100.

A 2003 San Francisco Bay Guardian article summed it up perfectly with its title: ‘Kamala Harris has a perfectly credible record. So why does she have to exaggerate it?’

Why indeed? It seems the Vice President’s claims about being in the “trenches” might need some fact-checking.

(DC Pundit) – Let’s set the record straight: there’s been a lot of buzz about something Trump supposedly said regarding Liz Cheney. But as usual, the media has it all twisted.

Here’s what really went happened: Trump sat down with Tucker Carlson for a chat, and naturally, Liz Cheney came up. Trump called her out for being a war hawk who’s all too eager to send other people’s kids into battle.

“I don’t blame [Dick Cheney] for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb,” Trump said, pulling no punches.

Trump used a metaphor to make his point about Cheney’s hawkish stance: “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it. Let’s see how she feels about it when the guns are trained on her face.”

Now, anyone with half a brain can see he’s not actually calling for her execution. He’s saying, “Hey, it’s easy to talk tough about war when you’re not the one in harm’s way.”

But of course, Cheney and the media couldn’t resist twisting his words. They’re running with this wild claim that Trump wants Cheney executed by firing squad. It’s ridiculous, but hey, that’s par for the course these days.

And wouldn’t you know it, Kamala Harris’s campaign jumped on the bandwagon, spreading this nonsense on social media. It’s like they’re desperate to distract from Joe Biden’s recent gaffe where he called millions of Americans “garbage.”

Look, you don’t have to be a Trump fan to see what’s going on here. The media loves playing fast and loose with the truth, and politicians are all too happy to run with it.

(DC Pundit) – A fired-up Trump supporter in New Jersey took her political protest to a whole new level when she stripped down to her bra after being told she couldn’t wear her MAGA gear while voting.

The scene unfolded at a Hamilton Township firehouse, just outside Trenton, where the white-haired woman showed up to cast her early ballot on October 26th. When poll workers asked her to ditch her Trump shirt and MAGA hat, she decided to give them quite the show.

Jill Moyer, who chairs the Mercer County Board of Elections, offered to hold the woman’s spot in line while she grabbed a jacket from her car. But before Moyer could finish speaking, things took an unexpected turn.

“Before I could get it all out, she took off her shirt and flung it around,” Moyer told NJ.com, probably still in disbelief about what happened next.

The woman, sporting silver hoop earrings and a nude bra, wasn’t finished making her point. She flashed her middle finger at poll workers and shouted some choice words that definitely aren’t suitable for kids. “This is why I vote Trump,” she declared, according to a Reddit post that captured the moment before being taken down.

Moyer reached for the phone to call police, but our enthusiastic voter had already done her civic duty and vanished.

New Jersey has strict rules about political clothing at polling places. You can’t wear anything that shows support or opposition to any candidate. But something tells me this voter wasn’t too concerned about following the rulebook.

The incident caught fire on social media, with Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, giving his stamp of approval: “What a patriot,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter). One social media user chimed in, “I’d buy that lady a beer.”

When Fox News reporter Bill Melugin asked Trump about potentially pardoning Joe Biden’s son in the name of unity, Trump’s response was measured. “Well, I wouldn’t do anything that would be overt in terms of Hunter,” he said. “It’s a sad situation.”

Trump drew a parallel to his own experience, reminding listeners of the charges he’s facing, including 34 felony convictions for falsifying business records. He accused the Biden administration of weaponizing the justice system against him as a political opponent.

(DC Pundit) – The U.S. government is looking into an unauthorized release of classified documents that detail Israel’s plans to strike Iran, according to three U.S. officials who spoke to the Associated Press. A fourth official confirmed that the documents appear to be genuine.

These top-secret papers, which come from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, reveal that Israel was still positioning its military assets for a potential attack in response to Iran’s massive missile strike on October 1. The documents were meant to be shared only within the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance, which includes the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

The classified information first appeared on Telegram, a messaging app, and was initially reported by CNN and Axios on Saturday. The officials who disclosed this information asked to remain anonymous as they weren’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

The ongoing investigation is also trying to figure out how these documents were obtained. They’re considering various possibilities, including whether it was an intentional leak by someone in the U.S. intelligence community or if the information was accessed through other means, like a hack. They’re also checking if any other sensitive information was compromised.

As part of this process, officials are working to identify who had access to these documents before they were posted online. One official stated, “We’re leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to trace the origin of this leak.”

The U.S. has been pushing Israel to capitalize on its recent elimination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and pursue a cease-fire in Gaza. At the same time, they’ve strongly cautioned Israel against expanding military operations in northern Lebanon, which could potentially spark a wider regional conflict. However, Israeli leadership has consistently maintained that Iran’s missile attack won’t go unanswered.

When asked for comment, the Pentagon acknowledged the reports about the leaked documents but didn’t provide any additional information. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the leaked documents.

These classified papers first surfaced online last Friday through a Telegram channel. The poster claimed they were leaked by someone within the U.S. intelligence community, and later suggested they came from the U.S. Defense Department. The information appears to have been gathered entirely through satellite image analysis.

One of the two leaked documents bears a striking resemblance to other material from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency that was previously leaked by Jack Teixeira. Teixeira, an Air National Guardsman, pleaded guilty in March to leaking highly classified military documents about Russia’s war on Ukraine and other sensitive national security information.

The Telegram channel responsible for sharing these documents identifies itself as being based in Tehran, Iran’s capital. In the past, this channel has shared memes featuring Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and content supporting Tehran’s self-proclaimed “Axis of Resistance,” which includes various Middle Eastern militant groups backed by Iran.

UPDATE: Ariane Tabatabai, a senior Pentagon employee, has been named as the suspected leaker of these classified documents.

Swing State Crime: Will Frightened Voters Hand Trump A Landslide Victory?

(DC Pundit) – As we inch closer to Election Day, one issue is grabbing headlines and potentially swaying voters: crime in swing states.

Let’s face it, crime is on everyone’s mind these days, especially in battleground states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona. Folks are worried about their safety, and they’re taking a hard look at the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the situation.

A recent Washington Post/Schar School poll, conducted between September 30 and October 15, 2024, in key swing states, shows that nearly four out of five voters see crime as a big deal in this election. And here’s the kicker: Trump’s got a solid lead over Vice President Kamala Harris when it comes to tackling crime. Voters trust him more by about ten points.

Now, the Biden-Harris team has been all about police reform and community-based approaches to fighting crime. Harris famously backed the “defund the police” movement, saying it “rightly” questioned how we spend money on policing versus things like education and mental health. She also claimed that more cops don’t always mean safer streets.

But critics aren’t buying it. They say these soft-on-crime policies have only made things worse. Republican Congressman John Joyce from Pennsylvania didn’t mince words last month: “For the past four years, American communities have been forced to live with failed, soft-on-crime policies that have sought to free violent criminals and defund our law enforcement.”

On the flip side of Harris, Trump’s been beating the “law and order” drum since day one. He’s promising to “end the lawlessness once again” and is all about backing the police and getting tough on criminals.

Trump’s not pulling any punches, recently accusing Harris of having “blood on her hands” due to the rise in migrant crime. Ouch.

While the Biden-Harris team has tried to downplay crime rates, Trump’s campaign isn’t having it. They claim the administration’s been cooking the books on crime data and overseeing a massive spike in violent crime. In fact, 2022 and 2023 were two of the deadliest years since 2012. And get this: after initially reporting a slight dip in violent crime for 2022, the FBI quietly revised their numbers to show a 4.5 percent increase. Talk about sketchy.

Trump’s has hammered Harris on what he calls a “migrant crime epidemic” in swing states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. He’s been posting about migrants suspected of serious crimes like murder, child sexual assault, and rape, happening right in these crucial battleground states.

Speaking of which, there are seven swing states that could make or break this election: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Together, they’ve got 93 electoral votes up for grabs. That’s enough to decide who gets the keys to the White House.

With just over two weeks to go, recent polls show Trump gaining ground in key states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Georgia. He’s now leading Harris by slim margins in these places. An internal poll from his campaign even shows Trump ahead in all seven swing states, leading by one to five percentage points.

Voters are faced with a choice: who do they trust to keep them safe? Trump’s tough-on-crime stance is giving him a big boost with voters who want to see crime rates drop. Meanwhile, Harris and her team are scrambling to address these concerns before the clock strikes midnight.

In the end, worries about crime, along with some major foreign policy blunders by the current administration, could be what drives voters to the polls – and Trump back into the Oval Office.

(DC Pundit) – Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor who was romantically involved with Fulton County DA Fani Willis, recently spilled some beans on Capitol Hill. He admitted to meeting with the Biden-Harris White House multiple times during the Trump prosecution. Talk about a plot twist!

Wade showed up for his interview with the House Judiciary Committee, however Willis tried to throw a wrench in those plans. She fired off a letter to Chairman Jim Jordan, demanding Wade’s testimony be canceled and that he keep his mouth shut. But it looks like that didn’t quite work out as planned.

Here’s where things get a bit murky. When asked about the details of these White House meetings, Wade pulled the classic “I don’t recall” card. Were they in-person pow-wows or just Zoom calls? Your guess is as good as mine.

Remember, Wade’s already stepped down from the Trump case. Judge McAfee laid down the law, telling Willis she needs to clean up the “appearance of impropriety” before moving forward. He said Willis could stick around, but her lover boy had to hit the road.

Let’s rewind a bit. Back in August 2023, Willis dropped a bombshell, slapping Trump and 18 others with RICO and conspiracy charges for questioning the 2020 election. A Fulton County grand jury handed down a whopping 41-count indictment.

But here’s where it gets juicy. In January, one of Trump’s co-defendants, Michael Roman, blew the lid off Willis and Wade’s secret romance. The court filing claimed Wade was treating Willis to fancy vacations in Napa Valley and Caribbean cruises – all on the county’s dime! Talk about mixing business with pleasure.

“County records show that Wade, who has played a prominent role in the election interference case, has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

When Wade and Willis were forced to testify about their relationship, they both seemed to have a case of selective memory and couldn’t quite get their stories straight about when the romance started.

Now, Willis’s case against Trump is looking shakier than ever. Judge McAfee has already tossed out six charges. It’s like watching a house of cards wobble in the wind.

This whole saga reads like a political soap opera. We’ve got a secret love affair, luxury vacations, White House meetings, and courtroom drama. Who needs Netflix when you’ve got real-life politics?
