(DC Pundit) – New York City Democrats have once again proven there’s no radical too extreme for their taste. Voters in the Democratic mayoral primary handed victory to Zohran Mamdani, a self-described Muslim socialist who’s made a career out of bashing cops, demonizing capitalism, and championing policies that sound like they were ripped straight from a Marxist’s diary.
“Tonight, we made history,” Mamdani declared during his victory speech. “I will be your Democratic nominee for the mayor of New York City.” And by “we,” he means the far-left activists, anti-police radicals, and pro-Palestinian agitators who cheered him on every step of the way.

This practically guarantees he’ll be the next Mayor.

At just 33 years old, Mamdani has already carved out quite the résumé, if your idea of leadership includes dismantling public safety, implementing Soviet-style food systems, and throwing international diplomacy out the window. He’s been pushing to defund the NYPD for years, claiming police exist to “control Black, brown and poor New Yorkers.” And naturally, he believes the entire justice system is a tool of the “violent, right-wing government.”
Of course, no progressive résumé would be complete without a passionate campaign for “queer liberation,” which, according to Mamdani, can’t happen unless we pull the plug on police funding altogether. Because nothing says public safety like disbanding the force that stands between families and the violent criminals Democrats keep letting back on the streets.

But Mamdani’s vision for New York doesn’t stop at destroying the police. He’s also pushing for government-owned grocery stores, an idea made famous by the economic collapse of the Soviet Union. You’d think Democrats would’ve learned from history, but apparently, inflation, food shortages, and mass suffering are just a few tweaks away from working this time.
NEW: Two-thirds of NYC voters support creating municipal grocery stores to bring down prices.
"The concept is imminently feasible. In fact, publicly owned grocery stores are quite common and already exist at scale—in the US military."

And then there’s his foreign policy, if you can call it that. Mamdani recently said he’d have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested if he set foot in New York. Yes, arrested. For daring to lead the only democracy in the Middle East. He’s also popularized the phrase “Globalize the Intifada,” claiming it’s simply a cry for “Palestinian rights.” Nothing to see here, just a casual call to expand a violent uprising worldwide.
I’m not a New Yorker, but anyone who can’t condemn globalizing the intifada, especially after PA, DC, and CO, is manifestly unfit for office.

Let’s be clear: this is who the Democratic Party is uplifting now. A man who talks more about tearing things down than building anything up. A candidate more focused on criminalizing Israel than fixing New York’s crime-infested streets. And someone who’d rather import radical ideology than restore any semblance of order to the Big Apple.
But hey, in a party where defunding the police, dismantling capitalism, and embracing the chaos of foreign extremism are all selling points, Mamdani might just be the perfect fit.
