(DC Pundit) – Far-left Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker managed to turn what should have been a solemn moment into yet another partisan circus. Instead of focusing on the tragedy of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, he used the podium to point the finger at President Donald Trump, dragging January 6th into the spotlight as if it had anything to do with a targeted shooting in Utah.
Charlie Kirk, just 31 years old, was the co-founder of Turning Point USA and one of the most influential conservative voices of his generation. On Wednesday, he was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem. The round was fired from a building roughly 200 yards away around 12:10 p.m. (MDT). Instead of addressing the real danger of political violence against conservatives, Pritzker used the occasion to push the tired narrative that everything somehow circles back to Trump.
During his press conference, Pritzker decided that the blame for Kirk’s death lies not with the individual who pulled the trigger, but with the president who Democrats have been trying to vilify for years.

This line of attack is nothing new. Democrats have been desperately clinging to January 6th like it’s their golden ticket to stay in power, even as their own supporters unleash chaos in cities across the country.
Charlie Kirk wasn’t just another conservative activist. Through Turning Point USA, he inspired countless young Americans to challenge liberal orthodoxy on college campuses, fight for free speech, and proudly embrace their values. That made him a prime target for the left, who despised how effective he was at pulling back the curtain on progressive failures.
The truth is simple: political violence is unacceptable, no matter who it’s aimed at. But instead of uniting people against that violence, Democrats like Pritzker exploit tragedy to advance their narratives. If anything, his comments are a reminder of why strong conservative leadership is needed now more than ever—leadership that doesn’t cheapen loss with partisan finger-pointing, but works to protect the freedoms Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to defending.
May Charlie Kirk rest in peace, and may God bring comfort and strength to his family, friends, and the millions of conservatives he inspired across this nation.
