(DC Pundit) – A teacher has been yanked out of the classroom after allegedly forcing young students to watch a video showing the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. To make matters worse, the teacher reportedly told the children that Kirk “deserved” it.
According to the Toronto Sun, students at Corvette Junior Public School in Toronto went home shaken after being made to watch the gruesome footage multiple times. Parents quickly raised the alarm, and school administrators wasted no time in pulling the teacher from duty as of September 12.
One source described the appalling situation: “Several students from his class went home and complained to their parents, traumatized at witnessing the on-camera death, which they were forced to witness numerous times over.”
The teacher allegedly didn’t stop at showing the video. He also launched into a lecture about anti-fascism, transgender issues, and why Kirk supposedly deserved what happened to him. In other words, it was less of a classroom lesson and more of a political indoctrination session disguised as education.
A letter sent home to parents on Friday called the incident “extremely troubling and completely disturbing.” The letter, signed by Principal Jennifer Koptie, admitted that students in grades 5 and 6 were shown “a portion of a violent video in response to questions being asked about a recent tragic event in the United States.”
The principal’s letter remarked, “While an investigation must still be conducted to learn all of the details, the report of this incident is extremely troubling and completely unacceptable. We recognize the seriousness of this matter and have taken immediate steps to follow all appropriate policies and procedures.”
The teacher has been suspended from all duties while the investigation unfolds, with Koptie making it clear that the teacher “will not be at the school.” Social work support is now being offered to any students rattled by the incident.
“I also want to assure you that our top priority is supporting students,” Koptie wrote. “Social Work support has been made available to the school. I will be visiting the class along with a member of our Social Work team to check in with students and provide support.”
It’s difficult to wrap your head around the sheer recklessness here. Educators are entrusted with shaping young minds — not traumatizing them with violent propaganda videos and personal politics. Parents send their kids to school to learn math, science, and history, not to sit through a twisted political TED Talk from an activist hiding behind a teacher’s desk.
If anything, this outrageous episode highlights exactly why so many parents have lost trust in public education. When a teacher thinks it’s acceptable to expose children to assassination videos while spewing political rhetoric, the problem isn’t just “bad judgment” — it’s a culture inside schools that treats indoctrination as part of the curriculum.
For now, the suspended teacher is under investigation. But one thing is certain: no child should ever be subjected to this kind of classroom horror show.
