URGENT: CLICK TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE LEFT!
(DC Pundit) – For a Supreme Court that rarely agrees on what to order for lunch, let alone on anything involving President Donald Trump, a unanimous decision is news. Big news. And yet, if you blinked, you might have missed it.
The Supreme Court of the United States handed President Trump a unanimous victory on immigration, ruling that federal courts must defer to the factual findings of immigration judges. In plain English: lower courts can’t casually override immigration judges just because they feel like it. For an administration committed to enforcing immigration law as written, that matters.
The decision tightens the reins on asylum challenges by reaffirming that courts must apply a “substantial-evidence standard” when reviewing whether an asylum seeker would face “persecution” if deported. That’s not a minor technical tweak. It raises the bar for overturning deportation decisions and makes it harder to game a system that has been strained for years.
And here’s the part that likely caused more than a few cable news producers to spill their lattes: the opinion was authored by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, one of the court’s three liberal justices and a Biden appointee.
Jackson made the standard crystal clear. Immigration judges’ determinations are not suggestions. As she wrote, “The agency’s determination… is generally ‘conclusive unless any reasonable adjudicator would be compelled to conclude to the contrary.’” That language reinforces just how steep the climb is for those seeking to overturn those rulings in federal court.
Jackson also emphasized the high threshold courts must meet before reversing immigration judges’ findings, a move that will likely make it more difficult for migrants to successfully challenge deportation orders as the Trump administration continues its enforcement efforts.

Curiously, the ruling hasn’t exactly dominated headlines in the legacy press. When the Supreme Court rules against Trump, it’s often treated like a five-alarm fire. When it rules unanimously in his favor — with a liberal justice holding the pen — the volume seems to drop.
Funny how that works.
