(DC Pundit) – President Donald Trump has decided to kick off the weekend with a bang. With the stroke of a pen on Friday evening, he signed an executive order that yanked security clearances from a rogues’ gallery of left-wing luminaries and Deep State darlings.
The list of those now barred from the classified cookie jar reads like a casting call for a Trump-hating Hollywood blockbuster. Heavy hitters like Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden—along with his entire entourage of family grifters—top the marquee. Then there’s Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Letitia James, and Alvin Bragg, each a familiar face in the conservative hall of shame. Trump even threw in Elizabeth Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for good measure, proving that disloyalty doesn’t get a free pass just because you once wore the GOP badge.
“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information,” Trump declared. And who can blame him?
The order continues, “Therefore, I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information,” Trump wrote. Translation: If you’re on this list, your days of attempting to leverage sensitive info in order to hurt the Trump administration are over.
The lineup of the newly clearance-less includes: Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Andrew Weissmann, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman join the Bidens, Clintons, and Harris. And in a delicious bit of housekeeping, Trump made sure to extend the ban to “any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family.” Sorry, Hunter—looks like those classified briefings won’t be padding your next art sale.
For conservatives, this is more than just a policy win—it’s a victory lap. After enduring years of what they see as weaponized investigations and sanctimonious lectures from the likes of Letitia James and Alvin Bragg, Trump’s supporters are relishing the sight of these figures being booted from the intelligence inner circle. And who could forget Kamala Harris, whose “Down with deportation!” chant from a 2018 Los Angeles rally—flanked by none other than Jussie Smollett—still echoes as a reminder of why she flamed out against Trump in November 2024?
Trump’s order also takes a practical swipe at potential loopholes. “In the event that any of the named individuals received a security clearance by virtue of their employment with a private entity,” he wrote, “the United States Government entity that granted the security clearance should inform the private entity that these individuals’ ability to access classified information has been revoked.” In other words, no sneaking back in through the corporate side door.
With a second term underway and a mandate from the American people, Trump’s clearly decided to go big or go home.
For now, Republicans can savor this moment: a decisive strike against the swamp, delivered with the kind of flair only Trump can muster. As for the left? They’re probably still trying to decode Harris’s latest word salad.
