Trump’s Plan For Hunter Biden: Will He Really Do The Unthinkable?

(DC Pundit) – During a campaign stop in Tempe, Arizona, former President Donald Trump surprised spoke on the possibility of pardoning Hunter Biden if he returns to the White House.

When Fox News reporter Bill Melugin asked Trump about potentially pardoning Joe Biden’s son in the name of unity, Trump’s response was measured. “Well, I wouldn’t do anything that would be overt in terms of Hunter,” he said. “It’s a sad situation.”

Trump drew a parallel to his own experience, reminding listeners of the charges he’s facing, including 34 felony convictions for falsifying business records. He accused the Biden administration of weaponizing the justice system against him as a political opponent.

“And it has never been done in this country,” Trump emphasized, highlighting the unprecedented nature of his legal battles.

Despite his grievances, Trump expressed reluctance to continue this cycle of political retribution. “I don’t wanna do that,” he stated. “It’s so bad for the country.”

When it comes to Hunter Biden specifically, Trump didn’t completely close the door on a pardon. “I wouldn’t take it off the books,” he insisted.

It’s worth noting that Hunter Biden’s legal troubles are significant. In June, he was found guilty of three felony gun charges. Later, he pleaded guilty to federal tax offenses, racking up three felonies and six misdemeanors.

Trump’s stance on this issue reveals a complex balancing act. On one hand, he’s clearly frustrated with what he sees as unfair treatment by the current administration. On the other, he seems aware of the potential damage that tit-for-tat prosecutions could do to the country.

“See, unlike Joe Biden, despite what they’ve done to me, where they’ve gone after me so viciously … And Hunter’s a bad boy,” Trump said. “But I happen to think it’s very bad for our country.”

This position may surprise some of Trump’s critics, who often portray him as solely focused on revenge. Instead, his comments suggest a broader concern for the nation’s well-being, even when it comes to dealing with his political opponents’ family members.

As the 2024 election approaches, it’ll be interesting to see how this develops. Will Trump’s stance on Hunter Biden evolve?

One thing’s for sure: in the unpredictable world of politics, expect the unexpected.
