(DC Pundit) – Secretary of State Marco Rubio dropped a bombshell on Friday. He’s put the kibosh on spending for most foreign aid for a whopping 90 days. That’s right, folks – three whole months of fiscal fasting for our international friends.
But don’t worry, Egypt and Israel can still count on their allowance. Fair? You be the judge of that.
Suits at the State Department are reportedly in a tizzy over Rubio’s new guidance. One official told Politico, “State just totally went nuclear on foreign aid.” Nuclear indeed.
The guidance applies to military assistance for Ukraine, which has been relying on U.S. support like a caffeine addict relies on their morning joe.
President Trump and our new Secretary of State Marco Rubio just stopped all foreign aid to Ukraine and other countries, except Israel and Egypt.
The State Department is shocked.
The American people are not, we are celebrating.

Rubio’s memo, sent to all diplomatic and consular posts, demands “stop-work orders” on nearly all “existing foreign aid awards.” It’s effective immediately.
Under the Biden administration, Ukraine was living large. Joe Biden and Congress sent them a cool $200 billion in aid and military assistance. This move by Rubio seems to go beyond Trump’s recent executive order, which merely suggested a 90-day pause on foreign aid grants for review.
Ukraine might want to start looking for change in the couch cushions. It’s going to be a long 90 days.
