(DC Pundit) – Oregon Democrat Rep. Maxine Dexter is offering a masterclass in modern left-wing politics: when you don’t like a policy, call it racist.
At a recent town hall, Dexter — a physician who previously downplayed concerns about COVID vaccine risks and has championed so-called “gender-affirming care” — called for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be “dismantled.” That alone tells you where she’s coming from.
She then pivoted to an all-out attack on the Department of Health and Human Services and Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., taking aim at the Make America Healthy Again initiative.
“RFK Jr. is one of the biggest threats to our community and to the health of this country,” said Dexter.
Her reasoning? “When you don’t follow the science, and you just follow your vibes or your whatever it is that he’s doing, it is absolutely the truth that you lose trust,” she said. She went even further: “I have every reason to believe that we’ll be able to get that man at least delegitimized, hopefully fired.”
Dexter also labeled the federal government a “fascist regime,” urged doctors not to “do what they are telling us to do,” and encouraged patients to “ask for the science-based regimens, not whatever RFK Jr. is getting kickbacks on or whatever whole milk, white supremacy dog-whistling that’s happening.”

Whole milk as “white supremacy dog-whistling”? This is where the debate is now.
The Republican National Committee’s RNC Research account responded bluntly: “Democrats’ unhinged hatred for President Trump has broken their brains.”

Meanwhile, the Make America Healthy Again Commission released the Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy in September, outlining hundreds of initiatives aimed at reversing “the failed policies that fueled America’s childhood chronic disease epidemic.”
One side is talking about tackling chronic disease in kids. The other is shouting about “fascist regime[s]” and dairy conspiracies.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer.
