(DC Pundit) – One of the most predictable spectacles in American politics is watching liberals contort themselves into defending the indefensible, just because President Trump took action. They’ve done it with illegal immigration, they’ve done it with soft-on-crime policies, and now, believe it or not, they’re doing it with drug cartels.
Yes, drug cartels. The same murderous organizations that traffic fentanyl across our border, kill thousands of Americans every year, and leave a trail of violence from Mexico to small-town USA. Apparently, the left thinks those guys deserve a little sympathy.
This week, MSNBC trotted out Paul Rieckhoff, a military veteran turned liberal activist, to criticize Trump’s latest move against narco-terrorists. What was Trump’s unforgivable crime, you ask? The U.S. military destroyed a drug cartel vessel attempting to move poison into our country. In normal America, that’s called protecting the homeland. On MSNBC, it’s suddenly “dangerous.”
Rieckhoff claimed Trump was somehow putting U.S. troops at risk by taking out cartel operations. Let’s pause on that for a second. Exactly how is it endangering American forces to obliterate the very criminals who are killing Americans in record numbers? If anything, Trump’s decisive action makes the country safer and sends a crystal-clear message to these cartels: try to bring your poison across the border, and you’ll be met with overwhelming force.

This is the same tired playbook Democrats always run. No matter what Trump does—secure the border, rebuild the military, or defend American lives—they rush to TV cameras to scream “dangerous” or “reckless.” Never mind the fact that Trump’s policies save lives, while their policies open the floodgates for fentanyl, human trafficking, and chaos.
The truth is simple. The left hates Trump so much they’d rather side with foreign drug cartels than admit he’s right about protecting America. That’s not just partisan, it’s insane. Trump is doing what a Commander-in-Chief is supposed to do: keep Americans safe.
