(DC Pundit) – President Donald Trump is facing a judicial barrage that would make even the most seasoned prizefighter wince. In less than two months, the man who promised to drain the swamp has been slapped with 132 legal challenges—only two of which have been resolved. Apparently, the swamp creatures don’t go down without a fight, and they’ve got a secret weapon: a judiciary packed with leftist crusaders courtesy of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his merry band of Democrats.
Schumer let the cat out of the bag during a PBS NewsHour interview this week. When host Geoff Bennett prodded him about whether the nation is teetering on the edge of a “constitutional crisis,” Schumer didn’t just dodge the question—he strutted right into a confession. With all the subtlety of a bullhorn, he bragged that Democrats had strategically installed 235 “progressive judges” to thwart President Trump “time after time after time.” For conservatives who’ve long suspected the courts were being turned into a political battering ram, this was the smoking gun—gift-wrapped and delivered on national TV.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah, never one to mince words, fired off a salvo on X: “‘Progressive judges’ That doesn’t mean ‘judges who follow the law.’ It means progressive activists wearing black robes.” He’s got a point—when did “justice is blind” turn into “justice picks a team”? Meanwhile, Representative Eli Crane of Arizona took it a step further, calling it like he sees it: “Here you have Schumer admitting that they put progressive judges in place for the explicit purpose of ruling against Trump. It’s all coordinated and intentional. Congress must act.” Crane isn’t wrong—coordination this blatant deserves a standing ovation from conspiracy theorists everywhere.

During Trump’s first term, conservatives cheered as he reshaped the federal judiciary, appointing over 200 judges to uphold the Constitution—not to play partisan piñata. Now, with Trump back in charge and pushing his America First agenda, the left’s counterpunch is clear: weaponize the courts to tie his administration in knots. Schumer’s admission isn’t just a flex—it’s a blueprint. Those 235 judges aren’t there to interpret the law; they’re there to stop Trump “time after time after time,” as the man himself put it. If that’s not a judicial coup, what is?
If Schumer’s army of robe-wearing activists gets its way, Trump’s second term could be bogged down in legal quicksand before it even hits stride. Conservatives are already sounding the alarm—Congress needs to step up, whether through investigations, judicial reform, or just good old-fashioned public shaming.
