(DC Pundit) – A West Virginia librarian is facing serious legal trouble, and likely the end of her public career, after authorities say she posted a message online that called for the assassination of President Donald Trump.
Morgan Morrow, an employee of the Jackson County Public Library, was arrested after posting a message that advocated for Trump’s death.
According to WOWK, authorities took the post seriously enough to place Morrow under arrest. She was charged Monday with one count of threats of terroristic acts. The station reported that Morrow admitted to making the post and confirmed it was directed at the “45th and 47th president.”

Law enforcement officials made it clear that social media bravado does not excuse threatening language, especially when it involves a sitting president. Jackson County Sheriff Ross Mellinger delivered a blunt message.
“When you saddle up on the horse of stupidity, you have to be prepared for the ride that follows,” Mellinger told WOWK. “We’re just trying to do our part in making sure that it’s not acted upon, and there’s no one that’s following her footsteps to try to carry out the plan.”
Conservatives have long warned that increasingly hostile political language toward Trump and his supporters is being normalized, particularly in left-leaning professional and academic environments.
