(DC Pundit) – Former President Joe Biden popped up in South Carolina on Friday and immediately launched into attacks against President Donald Trump.

The South Carolina Democratic Party rolled out the red carpet, announcing: “We’re honored to welcome President Joe Biden to Columbia on Friday, February 27, for a reception commemorating his pivotal 2020 South Carolina primary victory and thank him for a lifetime of public service.” Nostalgia is one thing. Reality is another.

When Biden deplaned, things quickly turned awkward. He drifted toward a woman in a wheelchair, took her phone, and appeared to freeze until an aide stepped in to rescue the moment. It was the kind of scene Democrats once insisted was “cheap fake” material — except it wasn’t fake.

Later, speaking at the Columbia Museum of Art, Biden took aim at Trump and blamed Covid for the border crisis. Then came the revisionist history.

“The day I left office, border crossings in the United States were lower than the day that I entered that office and inherited from Trump. He’s – I won’t say it,” Biden said.

He followed with an even bolder claim: “On the day I left office, I handed Trump the strongest economy in the world! In the world! And that’s not hyperbole. That’s a fact!”

(DC Pundit) – If you ever needed proof that the so-called “Deep State” isn’t just a conservative fever dream, Kristi Noem has now handed you Exhibit A.

During an appearance on The PBD Podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David, Noem revealed that staffers inside the Department of Homeland Security installed spyware on her government-issued phone and laptop.

“Elon Musk and his team were extremely helpful to me. They helped me identify that some of my own employees in my department had downloaded software on my phone and my laptop to spy on me to record our meetings. They had done that to several of the politicals,” Kristi Noem said.

Bet-David could barely contain himself. “Stop it!” he responded. “Wow!” Unbelievable.”

According to Noem, the spyware discovery wasn’t the only shock. She said her team uncovered “secret, secure rooms with hidden files that we turned over to attorneys.” Let that sink in. Hidden rooms. Hidden files. Inside DHS.

Noem credited outside tech expertise for stopping what she suggested was an ongoing internal surveillance effort. “We ended up bringing in people. And that was something that if you didn’t have those technology experts here in the department, looking at all of our laptops and our phones and recognizing that kind of software, it would still be happening today,” Noem said.

“So one of the things I need to do and continue to do is partner with technology companies and experts to bring them in and help us, because many times in government… we are just behind,” she added.

For conservatives who have long warned about entrenched bureaucrats working against elected leadership, this story won’t come as a surprise. Noem went even further, stating that the Deep State “is indeed real,” and that she is still finding individuals embedded within DHS who, in her view, “hate America.”

If even Cabinet-level officials can be surveilled from within their own departments, it raises a serious question: who’s really running things?

Conservatives have been asking that very question for years. Now, they have one more reason to keep asking.

(DC Pundit) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before U.S. House lawmakers on Thursday, telling members she had no knowledge of the crimes committed by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The testimony came at the start of two days of closed-door depositions that will also include former President Bill Clinton.

“I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein,” Hillary Clinton said in an opening statement shared on social media.

Republicans on Capitol Hill, however, have made it clear they intend to examine every detail surrounding Epstein’s network and any possible links to powerful figures. For many conservatives, the broader question isn’t partisan—it’s about accountability. When elites are involved, Americans want answers, not carefully worded statements.

The closed-door depositions follow months of tense negotiations between the Clintons and the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee. According to reports, the couple initially offered sworn written statements. Those offers were rejected by the panel and its chairman, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who instead demanded in-person testimony and threatened criminal contempt of Congress charges if they refused to comply.

It marks the first time a former president has been compelled to testify before Congress in this manner. That alone signals how serious lawmakers believe the Epstein scandal to be. The abuse of underage girls connected to Epstein has generated bipartisan outrage, but it is Republicans who have consistently pushed for deeper investigation into who knew what—and when.

Epstein died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, and Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 of aiding his abuse. The scandal has cast a long shadow over institutions that many Americans already distrust.

For conservatives who have long argued that powerful political figures often operate under a different set of rules, these depositions represent something rare: scrutiny applied upward.

(DC Pundit) – Tuesday night’s State of the Union wasn’t short on fireworks, and much of it came from the Democratic side of the aisle.

As President Donald Trump addressed the nation, cameras caught Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) reacting visibly as he spoke about crime and border enforcement. At one point, the camera panned over to Omar as President Trump called out Somali pirates and fraud rings in Minnesota. He also criticized corruption in Somalia, prompting a strong response from the Minnesota lawmaker, who was described as being on the verge of tears.

Then came the line that lit the fuse.

“If you agree with this statement, stand up to show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens,” Trump said.

Republicans rose to their feet and applauded. Of course, Democrats remained seated.

President Trump didn’t let it slide. He blasted Democrats for refusing to stand in support of protecting American citizens, declaring, “[Democrats] are blocking the removal of [illegal alien drug lords and rapists] out of our country and you should be ashamed of yourselves!”

That’s when Omar shouted back, “You have killed Americans!”

Moments later, she added, “You should be ashamed!”

For conservatives watching at home, the contrast was striking. The president was making a case for prioritizing American citizens and enforcing immigration law. Democrats chose protest over applause.

The Justice Department is currently investigating Omar over a significant increase in her wealth connected to her husband’s “winery” and “investment firm.” In addition, Border Czar Tom Homan last year said investigators are looking into her marriage to her brother.

It was a dramatic evening — one that showcased not just policy differences, but a deep divide over what the federal government’s first duty truly is. We believe it’s clear: protect American citizens first.

(DC Pundit) – It turns out Canada is not a progressive paradise. It’s a country with rent, laws, and immigration rules—much to the surprise of one very online activist.

A far-left commentator who operates under the social media handle “Nope Brigade,” and describes herself as a “scholar of the far-right,” recently learned that slogans don’t cover monthly expenses. The Sociology Ph.D. candidate, whose academic focus includes “Christian nationalism,” spent months warning her followers that President Donald Trump’s immigration rhetoric was laying the “building blocks to genocide” in the United States.

On December 3, 2024, she posted a lengthy video claiming Trump’s policies were comparable to the Holocaust and Armenian genocide. Those are not casual historical references. They are among the darkest chapters in human history. Comparing American border enforcement to such atrocities is a serious charge, one that demands serious evidence. Of course, none was provided.

Then came January 21, 2026, just after President Trump was sworn back into office following his election victory. From an Airbnb in British Columbia, the activist announced she had fled the United States and was now a “refugee” in Canada. She later clarified she is not a refugee but is in the country on a tourist visa. That distinction matters. Canada, like the United States, has immigration laws.

She also claimed she was “forced” to leave, likening herself to Jews escaping Nazi Germany. Again, strong language. Meanwhile, millions of Americans went to work, sent their kids to school, and continued living in a constitutional republic.

The reality set in quickly. By January 31, 2026, just ten days later, she admitted she is “surviving off savings” and is “horrified” to discover Canada is in the midst of a housing and cost-of-living crisis. Even more jarring was learning that, because she entered on a visitor visa, she is legally barred from working and cannot access Canada’s government healthcare system.

After months of championing “human rights” and “open borders,” the activist is now publicly requesting “free or below market rate” housing for herself, her partner, and her pets.

She has learned a brutal lesson: Countries have borders, laws aren’t suggestions, and reality doesn’t hand out participation trophies just because social media applauded your exit speech.

(DC Pundit) – What used to be called “higher education” increasingly resembles leftist training camps. The latest example comes from the University of California, Berkeley, where, according to Campus Reform, “A professor at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) has assigned students an alternative to traditional finals—creating and editing Wikipedia pages about queer and trans people of color.”

Yes, instead of research papers, exams, or anything remotely connected to marketable skills, students in an Ethnic Studies course were tasked with building and expanding Wikipedia entries centered on LGBTQ activism and transgender topics.

The report explains that the professor had students defend and expand on Wikipedia articles related to “LGBTQ” history and transgenderism. Among the assigned topics were “Queer Vampires,” “LGBTQ themes in horror fiction,” and “Lesbian bars.” One might reasonably ask how mastering “Queer Vampires” prepares anyone for the job market — unless there’s a sudden spike in demand for supernatural diversity consultants.

According to the report, “The project is facilitated through Wiki Education, an organization that partners with college faculty to incorporate Wikipedia editing into coursework.” It adds, “Classes have made more than 300,000 edits and added 3,000 citations to Wikipedia articles, collectively amassing nearly 100 million views.”

The professor framed the assignment as a form of resistance to President Donald Trump. She told The Daily Californian, “Right now, the Trump administration is trying to erase the very existence of transgender people, so having information about those histories, as well as present challenges facing queer and trans communities, is particularly urgent.”

That’s a sweeping political claim presented as academic justification. Conservatives have long argued that public universities — funded by taxpayer dollars — should prioritize rigorous scholarship rather than activism tied to opposition of a sitting president.

The course itself is reportedly titled “Queer of Color,” and the professor lists “transgender studies,” “queer activism in the Americas,” and “sex work” among her areas of expertise.

Berkeley has built a reputation for progressive activism dating back to the Free Speech Movement of the 1960s. Ironically, today’s version of “free speech” appears narrowly defined.

Students and families pay significant tuition for degrees they hope will lead to stable careers. Assignments focused on niche ideological content may satisfy activists, but many Americans, especially those footing the bill, expect something closer to education than indoctrination.

That pattern was on full display when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez found herself under scrutiny after an appearance at the Munich Security Conference.

During a panel discussion, AOC was asked whether the United States should commit troops to defend against China. What followed was not exactly a Churchillian moment.

After clips of the exchange circulated online, AOC took her frustrations to The New York Times, criticizing both the coverage and the questions themselves.

“This reporter came up to me and was like, ‘Is Munich the new New Hampshire?’ And I cannot say enough how out of touch and missing the point, genuinely, that is,” AOC said.

She added, “Global democracies are on fire the world over, and established parties are falling to right-wing populist movements.”

Addressing the viral clips, she complained that “Any five-to-10-second thing” only serves to “distract from the substance of what I am saying.”

Later, on Instagram, AOC appeared on the brink of tears as she pushed back against claims that she lacks “serious foreign policy chops.”

(DC Pundit) – New York City is bracing for what officials say could be the heaviest snowfall the region has seen in nearly ten years, and City Hall is scrambling to get ahead of it. According to city leaders, 1,000 emergency snow shovelers are needed as the winter storm bears down.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani made the announcement during a Saturday press conference, urging residents to step up.

“For those who want to do more to help their neighbors and earn some extra cash, you too can become an emergency snow shoveler,” Mamdani said.

“Just show up at your local sanitation garage between 8 am and 1 pm tomorrow with your paperwork,” he added.

The city plans to deploy workers beginning Sunday night. Vans and buses will transport shovelers to clear bus stops, crosswalks, fire hydrants, and other public areas that quickly become dangerous during heavy snow. Anyone who has navigated a New York sidewalk after a storm knows the job is no small task.

The Department of Sanitation confirmed that workers will be paid $19.14 per hour, with overtime at $28.71 per hour after 40 hours. For those looking to pick up extra income, it’s a straightforward deal: show up, work hard, get paid.

But there’s one detail that caught the attention of critics.

Applicants are required to present two forms of identification in order to be hired. Two.

That requirement raised eyebrows among many observers who note that Mamdani and the Democratic Party have consistently opposed Republican-backed voter ID laws, arguing that such measures are unnecessary or burdensome in the context of elections.

So to recap: if you want to clear a sidewalk in New York City, you’ll need to verify exactly who you are. But when it comes to casting a ballot, ID requirements are treated like an affront to democracy itself.

The irony has not gone unnoticed.

Of course, from an administrative standpoint, verifying the identity of city workers ensures proper payroll processing and accountability. That’s standard procedure in most workplaces across America. The question critics are asking is why similar verification is controversial in the voting booth but perfectly reasonable when someone is picking up a snow shovel.
