(DC Pundit) – The media and several prominent Democrats wasted no time igniting outrage over a viral incident in Minnesota, breathlessly claiming that Immigration and Customs Enforcement targeted a five-year-old child. As is often the case, the facts turned out to be far less dramatic — and far less useful for the preferred narrative. The truth is that the child was not targeted at all. He was abandoned by his own father, an illegal alien, who fled from ICE agents attempting a lawful arrest.

The January 20, 2026 incident occurred in Columbia Heights, a Minneapolis suburb. Contrary to early claims circulating online and on cable news, no witness accounts — including those critical of ICE — state that the child was alone outside before agents arrived. Every account confirms the same sequence: the child was inside a vehicle with his father when agents approached. The moment the situation became unsafe was when the father bolted on foot, leaving his five-year-old son alone in a car during freezing winter conditions. Father of the year material this was not.

An ICE officer stayed with the child to ensure his safety while other agents pursued and apprehended the father. Officers repeatedly attempted to transfer custody of the child to his mother inside the home, explicitly assuring her that she would not be arrested. She refused to take the child. The father, once in custody, requested that his son remain with him. As a result, both were transported together and are now housed in a family detention facility in Texas.

That did not stop Minnesota Democrats, including Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar, from condemning the incident as ICE “mistreating children.” Rep. Omar labeled the situation “vile” and claimed ICE was not focused on “serious criminals.” DNC Chair Ken Martin went further, falsely stating that ICE “detained a five-year-old.” Former Vice President Kamala Harris also expressed outrage over the child being in Texas. None of them mentioned the father fleeing or the mother refusing custody — curious omissions.

The White House pushed back hard, calling the claims a “horrific smear” and warning that such false narratives have contributed to a sharp increase in assaults on ICE agents. DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that when agents approached the vehicle, the father fled, abandoning his child. Agitators then arrived, yelling and blowing horns, frightening the boy. Officers responded by giving him McDonald’s food and playing his favorite music — hardly the actions of villains portrayed online.

ICE declined offers from unrelated adults to take custody, consistent with DHS policy. Agents cannot legally hand a child to unauthorized persons without verified guardianship or parental consent. DHS policy allows parents to choose whether to be removed with their children or designate a safe person — a policy consistent across administrations. The father chose to keep his son with him.

Vice President JD Vance cut through the hysteria, noting the child “was not arrested” and asking what ICE was supposed to do — “let a 5-year-old freeze to death” or ignore an illegal alien fleeing arrest. He pointed out that granting immunity to parents would effectively end law enforcement altogether.

Even attorney Marc Prokosch conceded the actions were “probably not illegal,” despite calling them cruel. Yet the only cruelty evident came from a father who abandoned his child and a mother who refused to take him. Prokosch noted the family entered the U.S. to seek asylum and had no prior criminal convictions, but pursuing a legal pathway does not equal legal status. That inconvenient detail, like so many others, was lost in the rush to manufacture outrage.

(DC Pundit) – Former Attorney General Eric Holder has long built a reputation that, to put it politely, hasn’t aged well. For many, he is remembered less for restoring faith in the Justice Department and more for turning the office into a political weapon. Race, in particular, was a tool Holder seemed eager to deploy whenever it suited the moment — and this week was no exception.

Speaking at an event honoring the memory of Martin Luther King Jr., Holder warned that there is an active effort to “re-segregate” America. It was a dramatic line clearly designed to provoke emotion and draw a straight line between modern Republicans and the darkest chapters of American history. Convenient, isn’t it?

What Holder didn’t mention is where actual segregation has been enthusiastically embraced over the past decade. Progressive college campuses have seen demands for segregated dorms, segregated campus spaces, and even segregated graduation ceremonies — all in the name of “equity.” These are not fringe ideas whispered in dark corners; they’ve been openly promoted by left-wing activists and administrators. Yet through all of that, Holder was strangely silent. No speeches. No warnings. No alarm bells about “re-segregation” then.

Instead, this sudden concern appears now, at a time when Democrats are eager to smear President Donald Trump and Republicans as racial villains. It’s a familiar playbook: accuse your opponents of what your own side is actively doing, then dare anyone to push back.

The reality is that the modern left has done enormous damage to race relations in America, and figures like Eric Holder bear real responsibility for that. Democrats frequently claim they want to eliminate racism, but their political strategy suggests otherwise. After all, without constant racial tension, grievance politics loses its power — and so does their favorite cudgel against conservatives.

Holder’s remarks were a reminder. A reminder of how race has been cynically used by Democrats for years, not to heal the country, but to divide it, and then blame Republicans for the mess they helped create.

(DC Pundit) – Former CNN host Don Lemon had himself quite the Sunday meltdown when a level-headed churchgoer politely but firmly dismantled his attempts to spin a far-left invasion of a worship service into some noble exercise of free speech.

The scene unfolded at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, where radical anti-ICE agitators, part of ongoing unrest tied to the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent earlier this month, stormed into the sanctuary. They chanted slogans like “Hands up, don’t shoot” and “ICE out of Minnesota,” effectively shutting down the service and sending shaken families, including children, heading for the exits after about 20 minutes of chaos. The protesters claimed one pastor was linked to ICE operations, though the church’s lead pastor, Jonathan Parnell, made it clear the disruption was anything but welcome.

Instead of calling out the intrusion for what it was, an outrageous violation of a sacred space, Lemon embedded himself with the group, livestreaming the whole mess on his YouTube channel and aggressively pressing congregants who were already reeling from the interruption. He defended the stunt by invoking the First Amendment, insisting protests are supposed to make people uncomfortable, and even compared the church takeover to civil rights activism. Because nothing says “justice” like barging into a house of worship and terrorizing folks trying to pray.

One calm churchgoer, however, wasn’t having it. He delivered a straightforward takedown that cut right through Lemon’s narrative: “These people have come into our house, and they’ve interrupted our worship. This is a house of peace, and we try to proclaim that. This stirs division and rancor. In the end, it’s not helpful. Ultimately, I believe they’ve lost. They’ve emptied a house of worship. Everybody’s gone home. Their point has been proven worthless. In the end, I think they lose. But more importantly, if I were to walk into any of their houses uninvited and cause derision and upset according to their values, I would ultimately be kicked out. It’s not a good way. I feel violated. I feel interrupted. I feel angry.”

When the churchgoer pointed out that enforcement was addressing years of border disorder under previous lax policies, now being corrected under President Trump’s renewed focus on law and order, Lemon grew visibly flustered. He interrupted repeatedly, asserted his own version of events, and even followed the man as he tried to walk away from the badgering. Classic Lemon: when facts don’t fit the script, double down and chase the story until it submits.

Lemon, ever since his CNN days, has shown a knack for inserting himself into controversies while pretending neutrality. Here, he tagged along with the agitators, framed their actions as righteous, and then got testy when a regular congregant refused to play along with the gaslighting. The DOJ has since launched an investigation into the incident, with Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon putting Lemon “on notice” for potentially violating federal civil rights laws protecting houses of worship.

Meanwhile, ICE itself highlighted the escalation: agitators aren’t just targeting officers anymore, they’re now hunting through churches. Under President Trump, who won reelection decisively, the administration is cracking down on illegal immigration with operations like the one sparking these protests. The left’s response? Mob tactics that alienate everyday Americans and trample on religious freedom.

(DC Pundit) – A chilling case out of Waukesha, Wisconsin has revealed that an 18-year-old didn’t just commit a double homicide, he did it to bankroll a plan to kill President Donald Trump.

Nikita Casap has pleaded guilty to murdering his mother and stepfather in cold blood, but the motive behind these heinous crimes makes the story even more disturbing. According to the Associated Press, Casap killed his parents specifically to steal their money and fund an assassination plot targeting the president.

“The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carrying out his plan,” a federal search warrant stated.

This was calculated, premeditated murder with the express purpose of financing an attack on the President of the United States.

The murders took place around Feb. 11 at the family’s home. What happened next is equally grotesque: Casap remained in the house with the decomposing bodies for several weeks before finally leaving. He loaded up his stepfather’s SUV with approximately $14,000 in cash, jewelry, passports, the family firearm, and even took the family dog with him.

Authorities arrested him during a traffic stop in Kansas on Feb. 28.

When investigators examined Casap’s electronic devices, they discovered he had material linked to “The Order of Nine Angles” on his phone. FBI documents describe this organization as a satanic cult that promotes extreme anti-Judaic, anti-Christian, and anti-Western ideology while encouraging members to “incite chaos and violence.”

The investigation revealed that Casap had already taken concrete steps toward executing a mass-casualty attack. According to the search warrant, he had paid for, at least partially, a drone and explosives that authorities believe were intended to be used together as a weapon of mass destruction.

Investigators also recovered a manifesto that specifically mentioned both President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. In this document, Casap allegedly wrote that “getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president” would be “guaranteed to bring in some chaos.”

One passage from the manifesto left no room for interpretation, stating plainly that it was written “specifically for the attack that targets Trump.” This underscores what investigators have concluded: the murders of Casap’s parents were directly connected to a larger, premeditated plan aimed at political violence against the president and his administration.

Casap faces sentencing on March 5. Each homicide count carries a mandatory life prison sentence.

The controversy centers on federal funding that was quietly slipped into a spending bill and earmarked for what was described as a “substance abuse clinic” in Omar’s home state. On paper, it sounded like the kind of program many Americans would support. In reality, Ernst says what she uncovered looks far less like public service and far more like business as usual in Washington’s earmark culture.

During an interview on Fox Business, the Iowa senator laid out what she described as a trail of warning signs that would make any taxpayer wonder how such a proposal ever made it through the process. Ernst explained, “What I uncovered the other day, in one of our spending bills making its way through Congress, was a $1 million earmark from Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.”

Ernst said the real shock came when her office started digging into the organization behind the funding request. “This earmark was supposedly going to a substance abuse clinic, which actually happened to be housed in a restaurant and run by three individuals who share the same residential address, according to their IRS paperwork. (DC Pundit) – Governor Tim Walz has officially announced he will not seek reelection in 2026, a decision that comes as his administration remains under intense scrutiny over a massive fraud scandal tied to Minnesota’s social services programs. The governor made the announcement during a press conference on Tuesday.

“The buck stops with me. I am accountable for this. Because of that accountability, I am not running for office again,” Walz said.

In the 43-minute exposé, Shirley alleged widespread fraud at childcare centers operated by members of the Somali community, claiming funds meant for struggling families were instead siphoned off for personal use.
