(DC Pundit) – A 61-year-old Wisconsin woman is dead, allegedly murdered by a former coworker who targeted her specifically because she supported President Donald Trump. If the political affiliations were reversed, this story would be dominating every major network for weeks. Instead, it has received a fraction of the coverage it deserves.
Christine A. Jones, a housekeeping supervisor from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, was shot and killed on March 22nd in downtown Madison. Police responded to the 300 block of West Washington Avenue around 8 a.m. after reports of a person down. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. She had parked before heading to her shift at a nearby hotel.
The suspect is Diamond Simone Wallace, 31, a former coworker who had previously accused Jones of racism — solely because of her support for the president. According to the criminal complaint, Wallace worked with Jones at the same downtown Madison hotel until he was fired in April of last year. After his termination, Wallace returned to the hotel, made threats, and caused repeated disturbances, prompting the hotel’s general manager to obtain a temporary restraining order against him.
Wallace blamed Jones for his firing, previously slashed the tires on her Chevrolet Silverado, and according to court filings, “expressed animosity towards CAJ [Christine A. Jones] for being a Trump supporter.”

Wallace was arrested on March 23rd, the day after the shooting. Police recovered a handgun and a blue hooded sweatshirt matching surveillance footage from the scene. Ballistics confirmed the weapon was linked to the murder. Wallace also has a prior felony conviction from 2019 for resisting an officer, which legally prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
He has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon. Dane County Court Commissioner Jason Hanson set cash bail at $2 million. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 1st at 2:30 p.m.
