Trump Dominating Biden With Stunning Surge In Young Voter Support!

0

(DC Pundit) – In a poll released on Friday, it was revealed that former President Donald Trump is enjoying a two-point lead over current President Joe Biden in a hypothetical matchup for the 2024 general election. This intriguing twist in the political landscape is accompanied by a noteworthy uptick in Trump’s appeal among young voters, further solidifying his position as a prominent contender.

According to the Emerson College poll, Trump stands at 47 percent, while Biden trails slightly at 45 percent, leaving an additional eight percent of voters yet to declare their allegiance. Notably, this represents a two-point increase for Trump in comparison to the Emerson poll conducted the previous month, while Biden’s support appears to remain steadfast, as reported by The Hill.

These statistics underscore the fiercely competitive nature of the impending electoral showdown, pitting the current White House occupant against the former president, who has expressed his intentions to seek the highest office once again in 2024. A poll by CNBC’s All-America Economic Survey showed Trump leading Biden by four points on a national scale earlier in the week, with similar results evident in a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll that focused on seven pivotal swing states.

Delving deeper into the demographic breakdown, pollsters discovered that Trump’s appeal was particularly robust among younger voters. In the 18-to-29 age group, he secured a marginal lead over Biden, earning 45.2 percent of support compared to Biden’s 42.9 percent. The trend continued among the 30-to-39-year-old demographic, with Trump holding a commanding 11-point lead, garnering 49.6 percent support compared to Biden’s 38.5 percent.

The data for this poll was collected from October 16 to 17, drawing responses from a sample of 1,578 registered voters, comprising 574 Democrats, 559 Republicans, and 445 independents or individuals affiliated with other parties. The margin of error for this poll was measured at 2.4 percentage points, ensuring a relatively high degree of accuracy in its findings.

Retail Sales Skyrocket In September, Inflation Storm Looming?

0

(DC Pundit) – In a surprising turn of events, U.S. retailers experienced a substantial sales boost in September, defying expectations and signaling robust consumer demand. This unexpected surge in retail sales has now raised questions about the Federal Reserve’s strategy to combat inflation. According to the Commerce Department’s report on Tuesday, retail sales skyrocketed by an impressive 0.7 percent in September, a development that carries significant weight as retail sales constitute approximately one-third of all consumer spending in the United States. These sales figures serve as crucial leading indicators for the nation’s economic trajectory.

The impressive sales numbers far surpassed even the most optimistic forecasts, with economists initially projecting sales growth of just 0.3 percent, within a range of -0.1 percent to 0.5 percent. This remarkable upswing in sales cannot be attributed solely to rising gas prices. When excluding gas station sales, the increase still stands at an impressive 0.7 percent.

Core retail sales, which exclude sales at gas stations and motor vehicles, rose by 0.6 percent, significantly outperforming expectations of a mere 0.1 percent increase, with forecasts ranging from -0.5 percent to 0.3 percent. Even when excluding only auto dealers, sales managed to rise by 0.6 percent, surpassing the consensus forecast of 0.2 percent.

The so-called “control group sales,” used in GDP calculations and excluding food services, auto dealers, building materials stores, and gasoline stations, exhibited a substantial 0.6 percent increase, once again surpassing the highest range of predictions. Moreover, substantial upward revisions to the August figures indicate that retail sales have been more robust than initially believed for the past two months. The revised August retail sales growth was revised up to 0.8 percent from 0.6 percent, and the ex-autos figure saw an increase from 0.6 percent to 0.9 percent. Excluding autos and gas stations, the figure was revised up from 0.2 percent to 0.3 percent.

The widespread growth in sales suggests a persistent strength in consumer spending. Sales increased in eight out of the 13 retail categories monitored by the Commerce Department.

It is essential to note that these retail sales figures track nominal spending by households during the month, adjusting for seasonal variations and holidays, but not inflation. In September, the consumer price index rose by 0.4 percent.

Key highlights of the report include a 0.4 percent increase in sales at grocery stores, which is four times the consumer price index for food at home. Sales at health and personal care stores surged by 0.8 percent, while gas station sales jumped by 0.9 percent, attributed to higher gas prices. Online sales experienced a remarkable 1.1 percent increase, and restaurant and bar sales outperformed inflation for the “food away from home” category by rising 0.9 percent.

Conversely, sales declined at clothing stores, home and garden centers, and electronic and appliance stores. Sales remained flat at department stores, sporting goods stores, and furniture stores.

Sales at auto dealers marked a robust one percent increase, indicating the resilience of the U.S. consumer. Despite the Federal Reserve’s “restrictive” monetary policy aimed at lowering economic demand, very low unemployment levels have likely contributed to this consumer resilience. This phenomenon persists despite low consumer confidence in the economy and tepid approval ratings for President Joe Biden’s economic policies.

Recent statements from several Fed officials suggest that further interest rate hikes may not be necessary to bring inflation in line with the central bank’s two percent target. This viewpoint is partially based on the increase in longer-term bond yields, which drive up borrowing costs and tend to dampen economic activity. According to Fed projections released at a recent meeting, there may be one more rate hike, followed by an extended period of rate stability throughout the coming year.

However, the unexpected climb in retail spending witnessed in August and September could force a reevaluation of this view. Increasing demand from U.S. households may indicate that higher interest rates might be less restrictive than initially anticipated by Federal Reserve officials, adding a layer of complexity to their ongoing efforts to combat inflation.

TEXAS LOCKDOWN: Gov. Abbott Deploys Lone Star Troops To Secure Border, Unleashes Razor Wire At Texas-New Mexico State Line!

0

(DC Pundit) – As the Biden administration grapples with ongoing challenges at the southern border, Texas is once again stepping up its efforts to safeguard its border regions. While members of the Texas National Guard have been busy reinforcing the border with Mexico, recent developments have highlighted the need to secure a different border, one that’s much closer to home.

Photographs released by El Paso’s KFOX-TV have captured National Guard soldiers in the midst of erecting razor-wire barriers in West Texas, near the state’s border with New Mexico. These barriers are being set up in proximity to the city of Sunland Park, New Mexico, a region that has garnered attention due to increasing illegal immigration.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, addressing this situation, declared, “Migrants are entering New Mexico illegally, then crossing into Texas. We are stopping it.”

In recent months, Sunland Park has emerged as a notable “gateway” for illegal immigrants, according to a report by The Santa Fe New Mexican. Its strategic location, which allows individuals to easily walk between El Paso, Texas, and Juárez, Mexico, has made it an attractive option for those seeking to enter the United States unlawfully.

The steel fence that separates the United States from Mexico, while formidable in some areas, has a wide gap in Sunland Park. This gap has made it remarkably easy for illegal border crossings to occur, leading to deadly consequences. Sunland Park Mayor Javier Perea lamented, “The desert is very unforgiving in this area. Within the municipal limits, we’ve found about 25 bodies this year alone, and about 80 bodies have been found outside city limits.”

The situation in the El Paso border sector, which encompasses New Mexico, has been particularly challenging. Customs and Border Protection reported a substantial increase in migrant encounters during fiscal year 2023, with a 59% rise compared to the previous year. Fidel Baca, a Border Patrol agent and spokesman, noted that the sector is currently the busiest in the nation, with an average of over 900 people crossing the border daily.

Concerns about border security in New Mexico prompted inquiries to Democratic Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham. However, her press secretary emphasized that it’s not the state’s responsibility to address border security, stating, “The state assists the federal government with their needs, and at this time they have not reached out… As we have always said, we have called on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform, and we stand ready to assist Border Security if they request it.”

In response to what they see as insufficient federal action, Governor Abbott and Texas are taking matters into their own hands, reinforcing their commitment to securing the border and addressing the challenges presented by illegal immigration, despite the ongoing struggle to achieve federal immigration reform and enforcement.

Dazed And Confused: Dr. Jill Rushes To Aid A Disoriented Joe Biden

0

(DC Pundit) – During his appearance at the 2023 Human Rights Campaign National Dinner, Joe Biden delivered a speech. As usual, lies where plentiful.

Biden committed to making human rights for the LGBTQ+ community a central focus of his foreign policy — which should go over really well with Hamas. He emphatically declared, “We made human rights for LGBT around the world a top priority of my foreign policy … defending human rights in countries to pass anti-gay laws!”

Additionally, Sleepy Joe recounted a personal experience from his youth in Delaware, claiming to have witnessed two men sharing a kiss on a street corner during the 1950s. Biden reminisced, “I was raised by a man who was a really decent honorable man… I remember, he was dropping me off, I wanted to work in the projects as a lifeguard in east side Wilmington… and as I got out of the car… two men… they leaned up and kissed one another, and I’d never seen that before.” He went on to describe his father’s response, where he allegedly said, “Joey, it’s simple. They love each other.”

The President addressed the “challenges” that LGBTQ+ individuals still face in the United States. He claimed that gay couples are sometimes ejected from restaurants solely based on their sexual orientation, asserting, “When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, something is still fundamentally wrong in this country — and that still exists!”

At the end of his speech, Biden appeared momentarily disoriented, but Dr. Jill swiftly stepped in to guide him off the stage.

Biden’s Shocking $90k Handout: Funds Channeled To Hamas-Linked Group Just Weeks Before Explosive Terror Assault!

0

(DC Pundit) – The Biden administration has allegedly funneled an astonishing $90,000 to a Palestinian organization with suspected terrorist ties shortly before a wave of Hamas attacks on Israel, as per revelations from NGO Monitor.

This controversial funding was directed towards the Phoenix Center for Research and Field Studies, an institution affiliated with Gaza University, through two grants. The first grant, valued at $30,088, was designated for a project spanning from August 2023 to July 2024, while the second, a hefty $60,000, was intended for a project running from September 2023 to August 2024.

Disturbingly, the Phoenix Center’s website has shown the participation of senior members of Palestinian terrorist groups in various conferences and panels previously hosted by the center. These gatherings openly endorsed “armed resistance” against Israel, as reported by NGO Monitor.

The series of attacks commenced at daybreak on a fateful Saturday when Hamas unleashed a barrage of thousands of rockets upon Israel.

It is worth noting that the grant recipient is identified as the “Finiq Center for Field Studies and Researches.” NGO Monitor attributes this discrepancy in spelling to a phonetic error, with the recipient’s address coinciding with that of the Phoenix Center.

A document produced by the Phoenix Center, translated from Arabic by NGO Monitor, revealed that during a discussion held on December 13, 2022, participants concluded that the future agenda must include the reintroduction of “armed resistance” and “popular resistance” against the occupation authorities in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The Phoenix Center characterizes itself as “an independent, non-profit Palestinian institution established within the framework of its responsibility towards Palestinian communities to meet their political, economic, and social needs,” as stated on its website.

Incidentally, a discussion organized by the center on September 19, 2022, featured Khader Habib, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This mirrored a discussion from July 2022, which also included prominent PIJ members Ahmed Al-Mudallal and Khaled Al-Batsh, in addition to senior Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine figure Mohammed Al-Ghoul, according to NGO Monitor.

Salah Abdalati, the Director of Programs at the Phoenix Center, has made public statements expressing support for “armed resistance” and terror groups. In a Facebook post dated February 24, 2023, he advocated for various forms of resistance to become ingrained in Palestinian communities, including “escalating armed resistance.”

Moreover, in an August 7, 2022 post, he controversially compared Israel to “the state which most of its citizens have become as the ISIS of this generation,” according to NGO Monitor.

He further emphasized, “There is no choice but steadfastness and resistance against the occupation, and it is a right and a duty of a nation under occupation.”

The grant allocated for the project commencing in September 2023 was intended to “develop and enhance the knowledge and skills of Palestinian USG alumni in public speaking, storytelling, and digital networking.” The program’s description also highlighted its aim to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Conversely, the other grant for the August 2023 project outlined clear, measurable objectives focused on enhancing IT skills, raising awareness of IT trends, and providing networking opportunities with IT employers in Europe and Asia for target audiences.

As of the time of reporting, the State Department had not responded to requests for comment.

Bold GOP Rescue Mission: Republican Spearheads Heroic Evacuation From Israel’s War Zone

0

(DC Pundit) – When confronted with crises, Representative Cory Mills has consistently risen to the challenge. Before his foray into the world of politics, this first-term Florida Republican had a distinguished military career, serving with the Army’s 82nd Airborne. His service included earning a Bronze Star and enduring injuries from both an IED and an Iranian-made explosive, as documented in his congressional biography.

Mills sprang into action once again following Saturday’s devastating terrorist attack in Israel, which brought the specter of war to the nation and, potentially, the entire Middle East. As reported by The Floridian, Representative Mills was on the ground in Israel last Wednesday, playing a pivotal role in the evacuation of 32 Americans. He stated that his mission was driven by a desire to assist and stand in solidarity with the Israeli people while ensuring the safe evacuation of American citizens.

Mills emphasized that hundreds more Americans await evacuation from the region, drawing parallels to a similar situation that unfolded in August and September 2021. During that time, President Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan left American citizens stranded in a country now under the control of Taliban extremists.

In response to the dire circumstances in Afghanistan, Mills personally flew to the country to facilitate the escape of an American woman and her three children, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the safety of his fellow citizens.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge the fundamental differences between the Afghan situation and the conflict in Israel. Israel is a modern democracy with a highly advanced technological infrastructure, in stark contrast to the present-day Afghanistan, which has regressed into the rule of Islamist extremists harking back to 670 A.D.

While Afghanistan saw the swift collapse of its government forces, Israel’s well-established and formidable Israel Defense Forces have maintained their resilience for over 75 years, ensuring the survival of the Jewish state amidst a sea of authoritarian Muslim adversaries.

The ongoing threats to Israel are relentless. Hamas, the terrorist organization responsible for igniting the conflict from Gaza, is resolutely committed to the obliteration of the Jewish state. In the north, Hezbollah, another terror group with the same objective, governs the territory along the Lebanese border. To the east, Syria’s oppressive regime under Bashar Assad receives support from the terrorist state of Iran, Israel’s most menacing adversary.

All these entities, whether terrorist groups or terror-sponsoring governments, share a common goal: the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of its Jewish population, as the heinous Hamas attack underscored with its brutal acts of violence.

Mills has proven that when Americans are in peril, there are dedicated lawmakers ready to put themselves in harm’s way. In stark contrast, while Democratic Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey and Democratic Representative Dan Goldman of New York were in Israel on separate visits during the Hamas attack, they promptly returned to the United States.

During his recent address regarding the act of war against Israel, President Biden made only a fleeting reference to the Americans held hostage by Hamas and refrained from demanding their immediate release. In contrast, Mills wasted no time, heading straight to Israel during a time of conflict to ensure the safe evacuation of Americans.

The Biden administration, despite deploying U.S. aircraft carriers to the eastern Mediterranean, has failed to demonstrate the necessary resolve and competence in handling this crisis, as well as others. Given the anti-Israel stances of some left-wing Democrats and the President’s personal animosity towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, it is somewhat surprising that Biden is taking Israel’s side in this instance.

Representative Mills, however, has consistently exhibited both the determination and the capability to manage crises involving American citizens imperiled by Islamist military actions. It is this unwavering commitment to safeguarding American lives that defines his role as a Republican lawmaker.

Ex-CIA Chief Shocks The Nation With Assassination Proposal Of GOP Senator

0

(DC Pundit) – Former CIA Director Michael Hayden has sparked controversy with a jaw-dropping remark on Monday, suggesting that Senator Tommy Tuberville should be exiled from the “human race.” This astonishing statement from the retired US intelligence veteran came as a response to a query posed by a user on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), who inquired about Tuberville’s removal from his committee.

In what some have labeled a shocking insinuation, Hayden replied, “How about the human race?” This remark quickly spread across social media, with some interpreting it as a call for Tuberville’s “assassination.” Notably, Mollie Hemingway, the editor in chief of the Federalist, took to Twitter to voice her concerns, stating, “Former CIA Director Michael Hayden calls for the assassination of Sen. Tuberville because the senator is performing desperately needed oversight of the U.S. Military.”

The online backlash intensified as Logan Dobson, vice president of the GOP strategy firm Targeted Victory, tweeted, “Them: The media and the deep state are not out to get Republicans, that’s a conspiracy theory. CNN National Security Analyst And Former Head Of The CIA Michael Hayden: Tommy Tuberville should be assassinated.”

https://twitter.com/LoganDobson/status/1711573492489986522?s=20

Senator Tuberville, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has been at the center of a contentious standoff, blocking the swift confirmation of numerous military officers slated for crucial leadership positions. His protest revolves around a Pentagon policy that covers troops’ out-of-state travel for reproductive services, including abortion and in-vitro fertilization.

https://twitter.com/GenMhayden/status/1711554729518460955

This blockade effectively prevents the Senate Armed Services Committee from granting unanimous approvals to nominations, forcing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to bring some promotions to the full Senate floor for votes. Despite mounting pressure and the recent crisis in the Middle East, Tuberville’s spokesperson confirmed his unwavering commitment to maintaining this stance.

Michael Hayden, a retired Air Force general who previously served as the director of the National Security Agency (NSA) from 1999 to 2006, drew attention earlier for his criticisms of Tuberville’s actions. He called Tuberville an “idiot” in a May 2022 tweet, responding to a video of the senator questioning Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines about the US’s involvement in Ukraine’s efforts against Russia’s invasion. In another tweet, Hayden accused Tuberville of being a racist when a user asked about it.

https://twitter.com/GenMhayden/status/1524067356284182535?s=20

https://twitter.com/GenMhayden/status/1707802811524620575?s=20

Hayden was also among a group of retired military and State Department officials who signed an open letter in August, condemning Tuberville’s “reckless” protest, expressing concern that it jeopardizes military planning, preparedness, and national security. The letter emphasized the global instability and urged Senator Tuberville to end his blockade and show respect for the nation’s service members and their families.

Furthermore, Hayden was one of 51 former intelligence officials who, in an open letter, sought to discredit The Post’s 2022 report on Hunter Biden’s controversial laptop by falsely claiming that the emails were Russian disinformation.

Economic Freedom vs. Government Overreach: The Case For Lower Taxes

(DC Pundit) – If you’re wondering why your paycheck feels like it’s on a diet, look no further than the government’s sticky fingers. In 2025, President Donald Trump is waging war on the tax-and-spend madness that defined the Biden-Harris era, and conservatives are cheering like it’s the Fourth of July. Lower taxes aren’t just a feel-good policy—they’re the rocket fuel for economic freedom. But with Democrats still dreaming of their socialist utopia, the fight for your hard-earned cash is far from over.

Let’s break it down. The U.S. tax code is a 70,000-page nightmare that makes War and Peace look like a pamphlet. In 2023, the IRS collected $4.7 trillion from Americans, per Treasury data, yet the national debt hit $33 trillion. Where’s the money going? Not to your roads or schools—think Green New Deal boondoggles and bloated bureaucracies. Small businesses, the backbone of the economy, got crushed under Biden’s tax hikes, with the corporate rate climbing to 28% in 2022. The result? Job growth stalled, and inflation ate your savings like a kid with a candy bar.

Conservatives know the fix: slash taxes, shrink government, and let the free market work its magic. Trump’s on board, and 2025 is shaping up as a showdown between economic liberty and D.C.’s spending addiction. Because let’s face it—nobody spends your money better than you do.

Biden’s Tax Disaster
The Biden-Harris years were a masterclass in fiscal insanity. In 2021, Biden signed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, followed by the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Bill and the $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act. Spoiler: it didn’t reduce inflation. Consumer Price Index (CPI) data shows prices rose 20% from 2021 to 2024, while real wages dropped 2%. Biden’s tax hikes hit hard—capital gains taxes jumped to 25%, and small businesses faced pass-through income rates as high as 39.6%. The IRS hired 87,000 new agents, because nothing screams “freedom” like an army of auditors.

Kamala Harris was the hype woman for this mess, cheering “Build Back Better” like it wasn’t code for “bankrupt America.”

Election Integrity: Ensuring Fair and Transparent Voting Systems

(DC Pundit) – If you’ve ever wondered if your vote actually counts, you’re not alone. In 2025, election integrity is still a hot-button issue, with President Donald Trump pushing to make voting fair and transparent. Conservatives are doubling down on securing the ballot box. For Republicans, this isn’t about distrust—it’s about democracy. And with the left resisting common-sense reforms, it’s time to ensure every legal vote counts—and only legal votes.

Let’s look at the data. In 2020, 66% of voters used mail-in ballots or early voting, per Pew, up from 40% in 2016. A 2021 Heritage Foundation report flagged 1,400 cases of voter fraud from 1980–2020. By 2025, 60% of Americans want stricter voting laws, per Rasmussen, but only 40% trust election systems. Why? Irregularities like Pennsylvania’s 2020 mail-in issues—10,000 ballots processed late, per AP—fuel skepticism.

The left calls voter ID “suppression,” but conservatives know it’s protection. With Trump leading, 2025 is the year to lock down elections and restore confidence.

Biden’s Voting Mess
The Biden-Harris era was a free-for-all for voting rules. In 2021, Biden signed an executive order expanding mail-in voting, citing “access.” His DOJ sued Georgia and Texas over voter ID laws, claiming racism. Harris pushed HR1, a 2021 bill allowing same-day registration and no-excuse mail-in ballots nationwide. It failed, but 20 states loosened voting rules by 2023, per NCSL. Result? A 2023 Gallup poll showed 55% of voters doubted election fairness, up from 45% in 2018.

Biden’s team ignored fraud concerns, even as 2020 saw 200,000 more ballots than voters in Wisconsin, per a 2022 audit. Harris called fraud claims “baseless” in 2020 debates, dismissing 70% of Republicans who questioned results, per YouGov. The left’s laxity didn’t inspire trust—it eroded it.

The Threat Of Socialism: Lessons From Failed Experiments

(DC Pundit) – If you think socialism is just a trendy hashtag, 2025 is here to slap you awake. Conservatives are sounding the alarm on the left’s love affair with collectivism. From Venezuela’s collapse to America’s own flirtations with big-government policies, socialism’s track record is a dumpster fire. For Republicans, this isn’t just a debate—it’s a warning. And with Democrats still dreaming of their Marxist utopia, it’s time to learn from history and keep America free.

Let’s start with the data. In 2023, 36% of Americans viewed socialism favorably, per Gallup, up from 25% in 2010. Among Democrats, it’s 65%. But look at socialist experiments: Venezuela’s GDP crashed 60% from 2013–2023, per IMF, with 7 million fleeing. Cuba is stuck in a 1960s time warp, and North Korea is a starvation dystopia. Closer to home, Biden’s $4 trillion spending spree from 2021–2023 fueled 20% inflation, per CPI data. Socialism is not a theory—it’s a wrecking ball.

The left calls it “equity” or “fairness,” but conservatives know better. It’s government control dressed in a hug. With Trump leading, 2025 is the year to bury socialism’s bad ideas and champion capitalism.

Biden’s Socialist Flirtation

The Biden-Harris era was socialism lite. The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Bill, and $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act piled on debt—$33 trillion by 2023, per Treasury. Biden’s corporate tax hike to 28% and capital gains to 25% choked businesses, with 25% of small firms closing from 2020–2023, per Yelp. His Green New Deal push killed 600,000 oil jobs, per BLS, while subsidizing unprofitable renewables.

Harris was the hype girl, co-sponsoring Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All in 2019, a $32 trillion plan, per CBO. Her 2020 campaign floated wealth taxes and universal basic income—because nothing screams “freedom” like handing your paycheck to D.C. The result? Real wages fell 2% from 2021–2024, per BLS, and 60% of Americans lived paycheck to paycheck, per LendingClub. Biden’s policies didn’t lift us up—they weighed us down.

Trump’s Capitalist Comeback
President Trump’s not here for the red flags—literal or figurative. In February 2025, he extended his 2017 tax cuts, keeping the corporate rate at 21%, per CBO. His DOE reopened oil leases, adding 50,000 jobs, per BLS. Trump’s also slashing regulations, with 20% of federal rules gone by March 2025, per White House data. The payoff? GDP grew 2.8% in Q1 2025, up from 1.9% in 2024, per BEA, and the Dow hit 42,000, per WSJ.
