(DC Pundit) – Two men are now behind bars following a tragic hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy in Georgia, once again igniting concerns about public safety, accountability, and immigration enforcement.

The victim was identified by his family as Marcus Anderson, whose life was cut short Sunday evening while riding an electric bike. According to Chatham County Police, Anderson was traveling through the intersection of Ferguson Avenue and Glade Street around 7 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that never stopped. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say Olvin Ramos-Ramos and Miguel Reyes-Castro have both been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction. The two men are currently being held at the Chatham County jail, and notably, both have ICE detainers placed on them. In plain English, federal immigration authorities want them, too.

Detectives moved quickly after the crash, combing through available footage in the surrounding neighborhoods. “We really started focusing on it intently, looking for camera footage from residential cameras, ring cameras, things of that nature, private communities, our flock camera system,” Hadley explained.

That effort paid off. Investigators identified a vehicle of interest and tracked it down to Tybee Island, where both suspects were taken into custody. A memorial honoring Anderson appeared at the intersection on Tuesday — a heartbreaking reminder of a young life lost far too soon.

The Chatham County Police Criminal Investigation Division took the lead on the case because the Georgia State Patrol, which normally handles fatal crashes, was unavailable on Sunday. Despite the quick arrests, authorities say the investigation is far from over.

“We still have a lot of work to do to bring maybe some stronger charges as we go forward, but a lot of hard work went into that in a very short amount of time,” Hadley said.

Police declined to release further details due to the ongoing investigation but praised the Burnside Island community for submitting video evidence that proved critical to the case.

Hadley also issued a warning to parents who purchase e-bikes for their children, stressing safety and responsibility. “These are young kids, 10, 11, riding, going 25, 30 miles and hour. It just takes one car to pull out or a squirrel or something like that, and they could get injured pretty good,” he said.

As Marcus Anderson’s family grieves, many Americans are once again left asking how tragedies like this keep happening and whether the system is doing enough to prevent them.

(DC Pundit) – New York City has delivered yet another head-shaking moment, all thanks to incoming Mayor Zohran Mamdani. His latest headline-grabbing move is the appointment of Lillian Bonsignore as commissioner of the New York City Fire Department. While Mamdani is celebrating the identity-politics talking points — Bonsignore will be only the second woman and the first openly gay Fire Commissioner in the city’s history — average New Yorkers seem much more concerned with whether the person running the FDNY actually knows how to fight a fire.

Because here’s the hard truth Mamdani and the media gloss over: Bonsignore has never served as a firefighter. Instead, she spent more than 30 years as an emergency medical technician (EMT), retiring in 2022 as Chief of EMS operations. That’s an impressive career, but conservatives across the country recognize what the left pretends not to see — EMS and firefighting are not the same job.

At the news conference announcing the appointment, Mamdani praised Bonsignore as “a leader who cares about their work because she did it herself.” Did what herself? Operate a firehose or run press conferences about equity?

Bonsignore tried to close that gap, insisting, “I know the job. I know the— what the firefighters need, and I can translate that to this administration, who’s willing to listen.” She went on, “I know what EMS needs. I have been EMS for 30 plus years.” The messaging landed like a dull thud among first responders — many of whom believe leadership should require firsthand experience rushing INTO the burning building, not just treating the victims afterward.

She will replace Mark Guerra, a career FDNY firefighter currently serving as commissioner after Robert S. Tucker resigned — Tucker cited Mamdani’s stance on Israel as one reason for stepping aside.

For conservatives who watched crime soar and antisemitism spike under progressive leadership, the message is clear: the left prioritizes symbolism — identities, narratives, optics — over qualifications, safety, or public trust.

New Yorkers deserve a fire commissioner chosen because he or she carries the battle scars of service — not because City Hall wants to check another demographic box. Whether Bonsignore proves everyone wrong or becomes another cautionary tale of progressive governance gone wrong, one thing is certain: America is watching.

However, Carson cautioned that America’s enemies have simply changed tactics. Unable to defeat the nation militarily, he warned, adversaries now aim to weaken it by targeting institutions such as education, media, and faith. He also argued that critics attempt to erode national unity by attacking the founders themselves. “Should we discredit the American Constitution, make it old fashioned and out of step? Should we discredit the founders of our country?” Carson asked rhetorically.

(DC Pundit) – Former President Joe Biden’s latest holiday trip to Nantucket has once again revived a question conservatives have been asking for years: does Biden remember he’s no longer in the Oval Office, or is he still trying to act like he’s running foreign policy from the sidelines? For a man who lost his grip on the country long before he left Washington, he still can’t seem to resist pretending he’s calling the shots.

The Biden family descended on Nantucket for Thanksgiving, sliding right back into their familiar pattern of luxury vacations and elite insulation. As usual, they stayed in billionaire David Rubenstein’s sprawling mansion. This year they even shut down Main Street on one of the busiest shopping days of the season so they could roam high-end boutiques without interruption. Ordinary Americans preparing for Thanksgiving were left navigating the mess, while the Bidens enjoyed their protected bubble.

But it was Friday’s spectacle that drew the most attention. Biden shuffled through Nantucket before the Christmas tree lighting, moving with the sluggishness that has unfortunately become his trademark. Then he approached a group of Ukrainian women and launched into what sounded very much like unofficial diplomacy. One woman thanked him, saying, “Thank you so much for your support of Ukraine.” Biden responded with, “By the way, I keep pushing as hard as I can [for Ukraine],” and even told them he was still engaging in shadow diplomacy.

During his time in office, Biden poured billions of American taxpayer dollars into Ukraine. U.S. stockpiles of artillery rounds, air-defense missiles, and precision munitions were drained to levels that alarmed military officials. Last summer, the Pentagon even halted some weapons shipments because Biden had drawn down American supplies too far. It was the foreign-policy equivalent of emptying the pantry and then asking why there’s nothing left for dinner.

In the final weeks leading up to Trump’s return to the White House, Biden rushed to send even more money overseas. Last September, his administration announced a staggering $8 billion in military aid during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington. And since Russia’s full-scale invasion began, Congress, egged on by Biden, approved nearly $175 billion in aid and military support for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, President Trump is now rebuilding America’s strength, refilling stockpiles, securing the border, and shifting the nation’s focus back where it belongs: on American workers, American families, and American sovereignty.

So whether Biden’s Nantucket moment was confusion, ego, or just habit, it only underscored why voters moved on. The country has a president who’s actually doing the job. Biden’s vacation diplomacy may amuse his fan club, but it has no place in a nation that desperately needed, and now has, real leadership again.

(DC Pundit) – One of the world’s most recognizable brands may have just popped the top on a full-blown discrimination scandal. Coca-Cola — the self-proclaimed symbol of unity and “diversity” — is being accused of rejecting a well-qualified white applicant, only to roll out the red carpet once he reapplied using a fake “ethnic” name. In other words, the company famous for selling happiness might now be selling hypocrisy instead.

Conservative activist Chaya Raichik, who runs the wildly popular Libs of TikTok account on X, shared the story, complete with screenshots. The applicant, a white man identified only as “David,” reportedly applied to Coca-Cola with 20 years of experience in the industry. According to Raichik, his application was rejected the very next day.

“An individual named ‘David’ sent in a job application to @CocaCola, citing 20 YEARS of experience in the industry,” Raichik wrote. “His application was REJECTED the next day.”

“David” decided to run a little social experiment. He resubmitted the same application — except this time, he used a different name: “DeShawn.” He also cut his experience down to just five years.

The result? The “new” applicant suddenly looked like the ideal candidate.

“He then sent in another application, just changing his name to ‘DeShawn,’ and reduced his work experience to only 5 years,” Raichik noted. “His application under ‘DeShawn’ was ACCEPTED, and he was given an opportunity to do an interview.”

So, according to this story, Coca-Cola wasn’t interested in a veteran professional with two decades of experience — but was eager to chat with someone allegedly less qualified who just happened to sound more “diverse.” If true, that’s the kind of double standard that makes a mockery of every “inclusivity” seminar HR forces employees to sit through.

Coca-Cola responded to the report, insisting “the accusation is untrue as the fake applicants’ qualifications were otherwise not identical.” But that explanation raises an obvious question: if the “less qualified” candidate got the call, doesn’t that make the situation worse?

Attorney Harmeet Dhillon, who serves as Assistant Attorney General, appeared to take note of the controversy — responding to Raichik’s post with the famous “eyes” emoji. Translation: Coca-Cola might want to lawyer up before this story bubbles over.

And let’s not forget — President Donald Trump, a longtime Diet Coke drinker, might have more than a passing interest in this little PR disaster. You can bet he’s paying attention.

The broader takeaway is clear: the “woke” corporate obsession with race-based hiring hasn’t gone away — it’s just getting sneakier. Companies know Americans are tired of seeing merit replaced with identity politics, so they try to bury it behind boardroom buzzwords like “equity” and “inclusion.”

But discrimination, no matter how it’s dressed up, is still discrimination. If “David” really had to pretend to be “DeShawn” just to get a fair look, then maybe Coca-Cola’s problem isn’t just its sugar content.

And unless the Right stays focused and holds corporate America accountable, this kind of racial bias will keep fizzing right back to the surface.

(DC Pundit) – During his speech at the Nebraska Democrat Party’s “Ben Nelson Gala” in Omaha, the former commander-in-chief once again gave Americans a front-row seat to his continuing decline. After delivering a rambling tirade against President Donald Trump, Biden appeared confused and disoriented on stage, prompting his handler to step in — and that’s when things got awkward.

In a moment now going viral, a hot mic picked up Biden’s handler talking to him in a tone usually reserved for a toddler. “You’re going to stay on stage,” she instructed as she physically stopped him from wandering away. “I am? Oh,” Biden replied, sounding bewildered. The handler continued, “You’re going out by the side,” to which the former president meekly responded, “Oh, alright.”

Before this cringe-worthy moment, Biden attempted to fire up the crowd with a speech that was part anger, part confusion, and all chaos. He began shouting at the audience about President Trump, declaring, “You work for us, Mr. President! We don’t work for you! You work for us! Not just billionaires and millionaires!”

He then tried to lecture Trump about democracy, insisting, “This is a democracy and the fact of the matter is there are no kings in democracies.”

Of course, Biden’s speechwriters probably intended this to be a strong rebuke of President Trump, but the delivery was severely lacking. Watching a former president need stage management like a kindergarten teacher keeping track of her class is not exactly inspiring confidence.

Biden wanders, stumbles, or forgets where he is, and a handler swoops in to steer him back into position. The fact that the incident was caught on a hot mic just reinforces what many Americans already know — Biden isn’t the one leading the charge anymore, and maybe never really was.
