(DC Pundit) – The 2016 presidential election will go down as one of the most shocking political upsets in modern American history. Virtually every major media outlet and Democratic operative were confident that Hillary Clinton would cruise to victory. Instead, voters handed the keys to the White House to Donald Trump and the reaction inside Washington was reportedly something to behold.

According to reports, then-President Barack Obama and his national security adviser Susan Rice were so emotional over Trump’s victory that they cried in front of White House staff. The claims describe a somber West Wing, with senior officials visibly shaken as the electoral map turned red in key battleground states.

For conservatives who remember the tone of the 2016 campaign, the irony is hard to miss. Trump was dismissed as unelectable. Pollsters were certain. Commentators were smug. Yet as returns rolled in, the narrative collapsed in real time. It was a repudiation of the establishment consensus that had dominated Washington for years.

Obama, who had campaigned actively for Clinton, had made clear he believed Trump was unfit for office. Rice was one of his closest advisers and a central figure in his administration’s foreign policy team. If the reports are accurate, their reaction reflected the magnitude of the moment: a political earthquake few in their circle saw coming.

(DC Pundit) – Former President Barack Obama is once again lecturing Americans about unity, this time while blaming conservatives for the very division Democrats have spent years fueling.

During a recent interview with podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen, Obama claimed Republicans are responsible for today’s political hostility.

“The other side does the mean, angry, you know, exclusive, us/them, you know, divisive politics. That’s their, that’s, that’s their home court,” Obama said. He then added, “Our court is coming together.”

That would be easier to believe if reality didn’t keep getting in the way.

Anyone paying attention knows how this script goes. Support border security? You’re branded a xenophobe. Push back on DEI policies and anti-white discrimination? Racist. Don’t want children undergoing irreversible medical procedures? Transphobe. Advocate for free and fair elections? Election denier. Skip the COVID jab? Science denier.

It doesn’t matter how calmly conservatives make their case, they’re still labeled Nazis, fascists, and racists on a daily basis. And in some cases, those labels escalate into real-world consequences, with conservatives being physically attacked simply for their beliefs.

So when Obama talks about “coming together,” it rings hollow.

The Left’s version of unity usually involves silencing dissent, canceling anyone who disagrees, and weaponizing institutions against political opponents. Their so-called “home court” isn’t tolerance—it’s cancel culture, intimidation, and increasingly aggressive activism.

If Democrats truly wanted unity, they might start by listening to the millions of Americans who rejected their agenda at the ballot box—rather than pretending those voters are the problem.

(DC Pundit) – Protesters learned a hard lesson about consequences this past week after an anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement walkout in Enumclaw, Washington spiraled into chaos.

Independent journalist Vivian Ivy was on hand February 13, 2026, when students at Enumclaw High School decided to ditch class and march across town in protest of ICE doing what it was created to do: enforce federal immigration law and protect American communities from criminal illegal aliens.

According to the Courier Herald, roughly 100 to 150 students walked out around 11:40 a.m., eventually converging on City Hall. Along the way, protesters waved anti-ICE signs while chanting familiar left-wing slogans like “No justice, no peace,” “No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here,” and the always classy “F**k ICE.”

Some students spoke calmly when Ivy attempted interviews. Others chose a more “progressive” approach.

Video footage shared by Ivy shows students throwing objects, screaming obscenities, committing assault, and clashing with police. One female teen reportedly punched Ivy’s friend in the face after a verbal confrontation. She attempted to flee the scene, but Enumclaw Police quickly intervened, arresting her as she kicked and screamed.

Another girl took things to an even more dramatic level, sobbing “I want my mommy!” while being escorted away by officers. She had reportedly piled onto police as they tried to detain her friend, apparently discovering in real time that tantrums don’t override the law.

This is what happens when activism replaces accountability. For years, students have been told they’re heroic for disrupting classrooms, blocking traffic, and screaming profanity at law enforcement. Sometimes civics lessons come the hard way.

(DC Pundit) – Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton managed to light up social media this weekend after hosting a so-called “Fundamental Rights for Women” panel — and then opening the event by handing the microphone to a biological male.

Yes, really.

Clinton traveled to Germany for the 62nd Munich Security Conference, arriving Thursday after being forced to take a train due to an ongoing strike at Lufthansa. But travel headaches weren’t the headline-grabber. What followed on Saturday was.

Clinton kicked off her “Fundamental Rights for Women” discussion by welcoming transgender Congressman Tim McBride, who goes by “Sarah.” McBride is a biological male who identifies as female — a detail that apparently didn’t trouble the former secretary of state as she praised him for “bringing people together.”

Clinton told McBride, “As a gender rights champion and also the first openly transgender member of the United States Congress, you’ve been on the front lines of this fight and you’ve also been on the receiving end of so many threats and attacks that come from organized efforts.”

McBride happily echoed Clinton’s talking points — and then went after biological women who dare question the progressive gender agenda.

“We are facing, as you mentioned, a well-organized, well-funded right-wing regressive movement, and they really have placed trans people at the center of that effort,” McBride said.

He continued, “But we should be clear that the consequences of this anti-trans effort.. will include women of all backgrounds because at the end of the day transphobia, homophobia, misogyny and sexism are all rooted in the same prejudice.”

That’s right: according to McBride, women objecting to men entering their spaces are apparently guilty of the same sins as misogynists and sexists. And Clinton — long marketed as a feminist icon — sat quietly, offering no pushback whatsoever as a man equated criticism of his lifestyle with “misogyny.”

The irony was impossible to miss. A panel branded around women’s rights was immediately handed over to a biological male, while actual women’s concerns were shoved to the sidelines. It was a perfect snapshot of modern left-wing priorities: feelings first, facts later.

This is the same Hillary Clinton who built her political brand on championing women — yet here she was, nodding along as a man lectured the world about womanhood.

When given the chance to elevate women’s voices, today’s left chose ideology instead. And for millions of Americans watching from afar, it was just another reminder of how far off the rails the progressive movement has gone.

(DC Pundit) – Attorney General Pam Bondi has formally transmitted the Department of Justice’s Section 3 report to Congress under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, confirming that the DOJ has now released ALL Epstein-related materials in its possession.

The February 14, 2026 report, sent to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, Ranking Member Dick Durbin, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, and Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, confirms that the Department has complied fully with the law.

“In accordance with the requirements of the Act, and as described in various Department submissions to the courts of the Southern District of New York assigned to the Epstein and Maxwell prosecutions and related orders, the Department released all ‘records, documents, communications and investigative materials in the possession of the Department’ that ‘relate to’ any of nine different categories,” the letter read.

Those nine categories include everything from investigations involving Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, to flight logs, immunity deals, internal DOJ communications, and documentation surrounding Epstein’s detention and death. The Department also released materials tied to aircraft manifests, financial networks, sealed agreements, and even communications regarding destruction or concealment of evidence.

The only materials withheld were those protected by traditional legal privileges such as attorney-client or deliberative-process privilege.

Bondi’s letter further explains that redactions were limited strictly to victim personal and medical information, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), information that could jeopardize active investigations, and graphic images of death or abuse.

Perhaps most eye-opening is the inclusion of a full name index featuring more than 300 individuals. The list spans politicians, celebrities, business leaders, and media figures. High-profile names include Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, Nancy Pelosi, and Gavin Newsom, among many others.

The DOJ cautioned that names appear across a “wide variety of contexts,” including emails, press mentions, third-party reporting, and peripheral references. It also emphasized that some individuals are mentioned “only in a portion of a document… unrelated to the Epstein and Maxwell matters.”

In other words, presence on the list does not automatically imply wrongdoing — but it does confirm proximity to one of the most disturbing criminal networks in modern history.

For years, conservatives have demanded transparency in the Epstein case while legacy media outlets mostly looked the other way. Now, with the full release finally in hand, Americans can see just how wide this web stretched.
