(DC Pundit) – The left’s favorite slogan might as well be: different presidents, different standards.

On Tuesday, Bill Melugin put that reality on full display when he confronted Hakeem Jeffries over his party’s sudden outrage regarding executive military authority.

Democrats have been blasting President Donald Trump over military action against Iran, labeling it “unconstitutional” and insisting Congress must authorize such moves. Strong words. Very strong words.

But Melugin came armed with receipts from 2011.

During the Obama administration’s military intervention in Libya, then–House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi publicly defended Barack Obama’s authority to act without a formal vote from Congress. In June 2011, Pelosi said she was “satisfied that the president has the authority he needs” to continue military operations in Libya. She argued the engagement was of a “limited nature” and did not involve “boots on the ground,” therefore it did not violate the Constitution or the War Powers Resolution.

At the time, the U.S.-led initial phase of the Libya operation transitioned into a NATO-led mission that lasted approximately 7 months from March to October 2011. No prior congressional authorization. No constitutional panic from today’s loudest critics.

So when Melugin pressed Jeffries about Pelosi’s 2011 defense of Obama launching military strikes without first seeking congressional approval, the response was telling. Jeffries attempted to argue the situations were “very different.” When that explanation failed to gain traction, he leaned on a fallback: “I wasn’t there.”

How convenient.

Conservatives have long argued that the Constitution doesn’t change based on party affiliation. If a president has certain authorities under one administration, those authorities don’t evaporate when the Oval Office changes hands.

For voters who value consistency and constitutional clarity, the contrast is hard to ignore. Apparently, executive power is perfectly acceptable—so long as there’s a “D” next to the president’s name.

(DC Pundit) – Rep. Jasmine Crockett came up short in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate, with fellow Democrat James Talarico emerging on top. And before the final votes were even fully tallied, Crockett was already offering an explanation for her defeat: “cheating.”

Crockett predicted her loss late Tuesday and told supporters, “We encourage each and every one of you to remain resilient. We cannot allow this type of behavior to be rewarded because so long as they know that they can win, even if it means cheating, then they will continue to do it,” during a press conference alongside House candidate Collin Allred.

She went even further, declaring, “We should all be standing together, Democrats, Republicans, and we should all be raising hell.”

A Democrat, in a Democratic primary, warning about “cheating” and urging both parties to “raise hell.” The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. For years, Americans have been told that questioning election outcomes is dangerous, irresponsible, even anti-democratic. Yet when the political shoe ends up on the other foot, suddenly the language sounds very familiar.

Notably, Crockett did not accuse Democrats of wrongdoing. Instead, she blamed Republicans, arguing that some of her voters were unable to locate their assigned precincts.

As of 7:30 am ET on Wednesday, James Talarico was projected to be the winner with about 90% of the expected votes counted. Talarico secured 52.% of the vote, holding a solid single-digit lead over Crockett.

Apparently, claims of election “cheating” are only outrageous—until a Democrat makes them.

(DC Pundit) – Let me get this straight: liberal protesters paraded through New York City carrying portraits of Iran’s deceased Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei while flipping off Trump Tower. Yes, the same Ayatollah who presided over one of the world’s most oppressive regimes is apparently now a progressive icon.

Is this really what passes for the Democratic campaign platform these days? Is championing tyrants their strategy for winning over voters?

While actual Iranian-Americans and Iranians celebrate Khamenei’s death and the potential fall of a barbarous regime, American leftists are out here mourning the fallen tyrant. That tells you everything you need to know about where their loyalties lie—and it’s certainly not with freedom or democracy.

These protesters don’t have the faintest idea what life was like under Khamenei’s regime. They just show up and protest whatever they’re told to protest. Critical thinking? Not required. Historical knowledge? Unnecessary. Just hold the sign and look angry.

Do any of these sign-wavers understand the women imprisoned for not wearing hijabs properly? The LGBTQ individuals executed for their identity? The journalists tortured in prison? Of course not. They’re too busy being useful idiots for whoever’s funding this circus.

If these same people were around during World War II, they’d be protesting our efforts to take out Adolf Hitler and the Japanese Empire. Good versus evil has never been clearer, and they’ve chosen their side.

This is what the battle looks like in 2026. While President Trump works to strengthen America and protect our interests, the left marches through Manhattan celebrating one of history’s most brutal dictators.

These people are truly evil. There’s no other word for it.

(DC Pundit) – Was Iran’s state television hacked, or did the regime simply lose control of its own airwaves?

That’s the question circulating after Iranian state media appeared to broadcast President Donald Trump’s address to the world following the joint US-Israel military operation on Iran. Yes, the same regime that spent decades chanting “Death to America” suddenly found the President of the United States on its own network.

President Trump addressed the world this weekend and encouraged the Iranian people to rise up and seize control of their nation after the Supreme Leader was toppled. Early Saturday morning, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei and more than 40 top Iranian leaders were killed in the US-Israel military operation. The US also sunk 9 Iranian naval ships. In addition, the US deployed B-2 stealth bombers armed with 2,000 pound bombs that struck Iran’s ballistic missile facilities.

For years, Tehran boasted about its military strength and regional dominance. In a matter of hours, that image went up in smoke.

On Sunday, Iranian state media played a video of Trump encouraging its citizens to rise up and take their country back. Trump called on the Iranian people to seize control of their destiny.

“Now this is the time to seize control of your destiny,” Trump said before the screen went blank.

You almost can’t script it better. A regime built on censorship and propaganda inadvertently amplifies the very message calling for its own demise.

Iranians around the world are celebrating the fall of Khamenei and the Islamic Regime. Videos circulating online show crowds cheering, waving pre-revolutionary flags, and expressing hope for a future not dictated by clerics and terror proxies.

Whether it was a hack or internal sabotage, one thing is clear: the ayatollah’s grip is gone. And the Iranian people may finally have the opportunity President Trump described — to seize control of their own destiny.

(DC Pundit) – Chaos erupted Sunday outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi as militants attempted to breach the compound, only to be met with overwhelming force from security personnel.

Nearly two dozen militants were killed as they tried to storm the US Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, on Sunday. The violence followed heightened tensions in the region after the United States and Israel killed Iran’s Supreme Leader and more than 40 other senior Iranian Regime officials in targeted strikes.

Security forces fired on militants as they set fires and tried to breach the consulate. The result was swift and decisive.

A bloody scene unfolded as militants scattered amid the gunfire. Graphic video posted to social media (watch here) shows several wounded attackers running for their lives as individuals believed to be U.S. Marines opened fire in response. The footage also captures the chaos as the Pakistani militants shouted for help as they carried bodies away from the barrier of the consulate.

Let’s be clear about what happened here. Armed militants attempted to overrun an American diplomatic facility. They were not peaceful demonstrators holding signs. They were part of a mob that set fires and attempted to breach a secure compound staffed by U.S. personnel.

Under international law, U.S. consulates are sovereign facilities. Any attempt to storm one is not a protest, it’s an attack. Security forces responded accordingly.

For conservatives who have watched American embassies burn in the past, this scene tells a very different story. This time, the line held. The attackers were stopped. And the message was unmistakable: Under the Trump administration American facilities are not soft targets.

(DC Pundit) – Last week, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson paid a visit to the White House and personally urged President Donald Trump to hold off on military action against Iran. According to reports, Tucker made the request during his meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office, pressing the case for restraint.

President Trump, however, chose a different course. On Saturday, U.S. forces carried out a strike that eliminated Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and senior regime officials. The move marked one of the most consequential actions against the Iranian regime in modern history, targeting leadership long accused of backing terrorism across the Middle East.

The fallout inside conservative media circles was swift.

Tucker called the US strikes on Iran “disgusting and evil.” He argued that the elimination of the Khamenei regime will “reshuffle the deck” in a significant way.

That criticism did not sit well with many on the right—especially radio host Mark Levin, a longtime defender of Trump and vocal critic of the Iranian regime.

Levin unloaded in a blistering response, stating: “I’ll deal with this deranged traitor, Tucker Carlson, more fully later. For now I’ll say he’s a disgusting Woke Reich lowlife. He trashes our country and president in the middle of a military campaign against an enemy that has murdered over 1000 Americans and maimed thousands more. This bum has pranced around the Middle East giving aid and comfort to our enemies. And today he’s stabbing the president in the back and smearing our nation. He lies and propagandizes, and spews his cancerous bigotry, antisemitism, and Cristian-trashing. Even Qatar is condemning Iran. But not Carlson . He attacks his own country. You’ve every reason to despise him.”

For many Republicans, the underlying issue is simple: Iran’s regime has long been designated by the U.S. government as a state sponsor of terrorism. Supporters of the strike argue that decisive action sends a message to adversaries who have targeted Americans for decades.

(DC Pundit) – Former President Joe Biden popped up in South Carolina on Friday and immediately launched into attacks against President Donald Trump.

The South Carolina Democratic Party rolled out the red carpet, announcing: “We’re honored to welcome President Joe Biden to Columbia on Friday, February 27, for a reception commemorating his pivotal 2020 South Carolina primary victory and thank him for a lifetime of public service.” Nostalgia is one thing. Reality is another.

When Biden deplaned, things quickly turned awkward. He drifted toward a woman in a wheelchair, took her phone, and appeared to freeze until an aide stepped in to rescue the moment. It was the kind of scene Democrats once insisted was “cheap fake” material — except it wasn’t fake.

Later, speaking at the Columbia Museum of Art, Biden took aim at Trump and blamed Covid for the border crisis. Then came the revisionist history.

“The day I left office, border crossings in the United States were lower than the day that I entered that office and inherited from Trump. He’s – I won’t say it,” Biden said.

He followed with an even bolder claim: “On the day I left office, I handed Trump the strongest economy in the world! In the world! And that’s not hyperbole. That’s a fact!”

Americans remember near record inflation squeezing paychecks, grocery bills climbing by the week, and housing costs spiraling. Calling that “the strongest economy in the world” takes confidence — or selective memory.

(DC Pundit) – If you ever needed proof that the so-called “Deep State” isn’t just a conservative fever dream, Kristi Noem has now handed you Exhibit A.

During an appearance on The PBD Podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David, Noem revealed that staffers inside the Department of Homeland Security installed spyware on her government-issued phone and laptop.

“Elon Musk and his team were extremely helpful to me. They helped me identify that some of my own employees in my department had downloaded software on my phone and my laptop to spy on me to record our meetings. They had done that to several of the politicals,” Kristi Noem said.

Bet-David could barely contain himself. “Stop it!” he responded. “Wow!” Unbelievable.”

According to Noem, the spyware discovery wasn’t the only shock. She said her team uncovered “secret, secure rooms with hidden files that we turned over to attorneys.” Let that sink in. Hidden rooms. Hidden files. Inside DHS.

Noem credited outside tech expertise for stopping what she suggested was an ongoing internal surveillance effort. “We ended up bringing in people. And that was something that if you didn’t have those technology experts here in the department, looking at all of our laptops and our phones and recognizing that kind of software, it would still be happening today,” Noem said.

“So one of the things I need to do and continue to do is partner with technology companies and experts to bring them in and help us, because many times in government… we are just behind,” she added.

For conservatives who have long warned about entrenched bureaucrats working against elected leadership, this story won’t come as a surprise. Noem went even further, stating that the Deep State “is indeed real,” and that she is still finding individuals embedded within DHS who, in her view, “hate America.”

If even Cabinet-level officials can be surveilled from within their own departments, it raises a serious question: who’s really running things?

Conservatives have been asking that very question for years. Now, they have one more reason to keep asking.

(DC Pundit) – Oregon Democrat Rep. Maxine Dexter is offering a masterclass in modern left-wing politics: when you don’t like a policy, call it racist.

At a recent town hall, Dexter — a physician who previously downplayed concerns about COVID vaccine risks and has championed so-called “gender-affirming care” — called for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be “dismantled.” That alone tells you where she’s coming from.

She then pivoted to an all-out attack on the Department of Health and Human Services and Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., taking aim at the Make America Healthy Again initiative.

“RFK Jr. is one of the biggest threats to our community and to the health of this country,” said Dexter.

Her reasoning? “When you don’t follow the science, and you just follow your vibes or your whatever it is that he’s doing, it is absolutely the truth that you lose trust,” she said. She went even further: “I have every reason to believe that we’ll be able to get that man at least delegitimized, hopefully fired.”

Dexter also labeled the federal government a “fascist regime,” urged doctors not to “do what they are telling us to do,” and encouraged patients to “ask for the science-based regimens, not whatever RFK Jr. is getting kickbacks on or whatever whole milk, white supremacy dog-whistling that’s happening.”

Whole milk as “white supremacy dog-whistling”? This is where the debate is now.

The Republican National Committee’s RNC Research account responded bluntly: “Democrats’ unhinged hatred for President Trump has broken their brains.”

Meanwhile, the Make America Healthy Again Commission released the Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy in September, outlining hundreds of initiatives aimed at reversing “the failed policies that fueled America’s childhood chronic disease epidemic.”

One side is talking about tackling chronic disease in kids. The other is shouting about “fascist regime[s]” and dairy conspiracies.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer.

(DC Pundit) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before U.S. House lawmakers on Thursday, telling members she had no knowledge of the crimes committed by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The testimony came at the start of two days of closed-door depositions that will also include former President Bill Clinton.

“I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein,” Hillary Clinton said in an opening statement shared on social media.

That’s the official position: no knowledge, no recollection, no connection. Republicans on Capitol Hill, however, have made it clear they intend to examine every detail surrounding Epstein’s network and any possible links to powerful figures. For many conservatives, the broader question isn’t partisan—it’s about accountability. When elites are involved, Americans want answers, not carefully worded statements.

The closed-door depositions follow months of tense negotiations between the Clintons and the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee. According to reports, the couple initially offered sworn written statements. Those offers were rejected by the panel and its chairman, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who instead demanded in-person testimony and threatened criminal contempt of Congress charges if they refused to comply.

It marks the first time a former president has been compelled to testify before Congress in this manner. That alone signals how serious lawmakers believe the Epstein scandal to be. The abuse of underage girls connected to Epstein has generated bipartisan outrage, but it is Republicans who have consistently pushed for deeper investigation into who knew what—and when.

Epstein died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, and Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 of aiding his abuse. The scandal has cast a long shadow over institutions that many Americans already distrust.

For conservatives who have long argued that powerful political figures often operate under a different set of rules, these depositions represent something rare: scrutiny applied upward.
