(DC Pundit) – Corporate America’s Pride Month performance season is upon us, and HelloFresh has raised, or lowered, depending on your perspective, the bar to a spectacular new depth.

The meal-kit company, which built its entire business around the wholesome premise of delivering dinner ingredients to American families, posted what can only be described as a sexualized Pride Month “official statement” on Instagram. It started out like the standard, garden-variety woke corporate Pride post but quickly veered into territory that had absolutely no business appearing on a brand that sells chicken marsala kits to suburban households.

HelloFresh wrote that “eating isn’t always a top priority” during Pride Month, then pivoted to promoting “high-fiber recipes” for those who are “prepping.” Nobody needed a decoder ring for that one. It was a crude sexual joke wearing a meal-kit advertisement as a costume, and not a particularly convincing disguise.

I thought there was no way this was real… it had to be parody… so I looked it up myself.

Then it escalated. A user asked HelloFresh for a Pride Month discount code called “BOTTOMSUP.” Rather than quietly ignoring the request the way any brand with an ounce of self-awareness might, HelloFresh’s official account responded, “Use code BOTTOMSUP,” and signed off with “you ask we deliver. Literally.”

Just brilliant stuff from a company trying to win back customers.

This isn’t HelloFresh’s first lap around the LGBTQ track. The company has promoted “FreshPride,” its LGBTQQIP2SAA+ employee resource group, and stated in 2025 that inclusion is baked into its culture year-round. Back in 2022, FreshPride Berlin was celebrated as part of the company’s DE&I efforts, complete with Drag Queen Bingo and a branded truck rolling through Berlin’s LGBTQIA+ Pride festival. Points for commitment, at least.

But here’s the thing, there’s a meaningful difference between a company acknowledging Pride Month and a family-facing food brand turning its official comment section into something resembling a Grindr ad. Customers signing up for weekly dinner boxes are generally in the market for, you know, food. Not corporate sexual innuendo from an Instagram account that also posts recipes for sheet pan salmon.

The timing makes this even harder to justify. HelloFresh reported roughly €6.76 billion in 2025 revenue, representing a 9% decline in constant currency and an 11.8% drop in reported currency. The company also acknowledged that customer retention and conversions were still suffering from prior issues. When your business is actively shrinking, the bold strategic move is apparently to alienate the family demographic that kept you afloat.

HelloFresh is free to run its social media however it sees fit. And American consumers are equally free to take their grocery budgets somewhere that keeps the dinner hour free from corporate activist signaling. There are plenty of options, and most of them aren’t trying this hard to be edgy.

(DC Pundit) – For many on the left, despising President Donald Trump isn’t just a political position, it’s a lifestyle. A hobby. A reason to get out of bed in the morning. Strip away the resistance stickers and the MSNBC watching, and what’s left? For a lot of modern liberals, not much. Their hatred of Trump is the load-bearing wall of their entire identity, which is precisely why it’s so delicious when one of them is forced, against every fiber of their being, to admit he did something right.

That moment arrived courtesy of a viral clip posted on X by the Right Angle News Network, featuring a self-described Trump-hating woman who found herself in the uncomfortable position of complimenting the president’s renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.

“I thought it was a stupid idea to paint the reflecting pool,” she began, which is about what you’d expect.

“But y’all,” she said, visibly pained, “it looks good. It actually looks really good. It makes the reflection look extraordinarily prominent in a way that it did not look before.”

Naturally, she couldn’t let it end there. “And I hate that,” she added. We know. We know.

Give the woman credit, though, that kind of honesty takes guts when your entire social circle would disown you for saying something nice about Trump’s wallpaper choices, let alone a major landmark renovation.

Predictably, the legacy media did their level best to trash the project. The BBC hunted down tourists with negative opinions, leading with the quote “it looks black” as if that were the definitive verdict. The New York Times, never one to miss a chance to be insufferable, highlighted late-night comedians mocking the president’s excitement about the pool’s size. And Slate, bless their hearts, managed to wedge the “ongoing boondoggle at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool” into what they called one of “approximately 1.776 billion scandals of this Trump administration.”

Trump, as he tends to do, ignored all of it and pressed forward. “The water is ON, the Reflecting Pool is reflecting, and D.C. is looking better than ever,” the White House announced Thursday on X, accompanied by stunning photos of the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument shimmering beautifully in the water.

Say what you will about the man, and the left certainly will, but the pool looks fantastic. Even his fiercest critics, when they’re being honest, can see it. And that, perhaps, is the most Trump thing imaginable: winning even when people are rooting hard for him to fail.

URGENT: CLICK TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE LEFT!

(DC Pundit) – While President Donald Trump is working to broker a lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine, something the previous administration never seriously attempted, a group of House Republicans decided to throw a wrench into that effort by helping Democrats push through a hefty new aid package.

The House of Representatives passed a bill this week approving an additional $9 billion in aid to Ukraine while slapping harsh sanctions on Russia. Eighteen Republicans crossed the aisle to vote in favor of the measure, which includes sanctions targeting Russian banks, oil, and mining companies, a ban on Russian oil imports, and 500% tariffs on all other Russian goods entering the United States. The bill also authorized an $8 billion extension of Biden’s lend-lease program, allowing Ukraine to purchase weapons, and tacks on an additional $1 billion in security and reconstruction aid.

All of this while Trump is actively trying to end the war through diplomacy. You’d think Congress might let the President work before throwing more fuel on the fire.

Trump has been crystal clear about his position. He wants both sides to come to the table, make concessions, and end a conflict that has already claimed hundreds of thousands of lives and destabilized much of Europe. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared to take a step in that direction, sending a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin calling for direct, face-to-face negotiations.

Trump responded to the development on Monday, stating, “I think it would be great if they met,” and urging both parties to “get it done.” When pressed on what specific compromises he expects from each side, the President kept his cards close to his chest but made his broader expectation plain.

“I’ve been very strong on the fact that they’ve got to get that over with,” he said. “I want them each to make certain compromises. I think they’re going to do that.”

That is the kind of straightforward, results-oriented leadership that has been absent from American foreign policy for years. No endless proxy war cheerleading, no blank checks with zero accountability, just a president who wants the killing to stop and a deal to get made.

The 18 Republicans who voted for this bill owe their constituents a serious explanation. The American people are not interested in funding an open-ended conflict indefinitely, particularly when their own president is actively engaged in peace negotiations. Undermining that effort with a multibillion-dollar aid package and sweeping new sanctions does not help move things toward resolution, it complicates them.

(DC Pundit) – John Bolton, the famously hawkish former National Security Advisor who spent years lecturing everyone else about national security, has agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge for mishandling classified documents.

Bolton served as NSA under President Trump during the first administration before being dismissed in September 2019. He then wrote a tell-all book titled “The Room Where It Happened,” which is actually where this whole mess began, investigators first took interest in Bolton back in 2020 after determining he used classified information to write the memoir. Nothing says “responsible steward of national secrets” quite like turning them into a book deal.

The case goes considerably deeper than a single book, however. FBI agents raided Bolton’s home last summer after evidence emerged that he had been sending “highly sensitive” classified materials to his wife and daughter from a private, unsecured email server while working at the White House. The New York Post reported that “investigators reopened a dormant probe into Bolton’s alleged use of a private email to send classified national security documents to his wife and daughter from his work desk before his dismissal by Trump in September 2019, according to a senior US official.”

It gets worse. The New York Times previously reported that the U.S. government actually discovered Bolton’s classified emails while collecting intelligence from an adversarial country’s spy service. Read that again slowly. Foreign adversaries had access to John Bolton’s email activity. The man who built his entire career on being tough on America’s enemies apparently handed those same enemies a gift.

Documents previously released confirmed that Bolton stored classified information relating to weapons of mass destruction and the United Nations, not exactly the kind of material you casually forward from a personal account.

The Biden administration, in a move that surprised absolutely nobody paying attention, quietly shelved the investigation into Bolton. It took FBI Director Kash Patel, appointed under President Trump’s second administration, to revive the probe and order the raid on Bolton’s home. Bolton now faces up to 60 months in federal prison and fines reaching $2.25 million.

It is worth noting that Bolton was a fierce critic of President Trump and made no secret of his disdain after his dismissal. He campaigned publicly against Trump, gave endless media interviews, and positioned himself as some sort of moral authority on matters of governance and national security. The irony of that posture, given what we now know, is almost too rich to process.

Accountability has arrived for John Bolton, fashionably late, but here nonetheless.

(DC Pundit) – Code Pink has been pushing boundaries for years, but now one of its top organizers has decided that political harassment wasn’t quite enough, and crossed into outright physical assault on a sitting member of Congress.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is a U.S. Air Force veteran and one of the more fearless voices in the House of Representatives. She is not exactly the type of person you want to pick a fight with. Someone should have warned the leadership of Code Pink about that before things got physical on Capitol Hill Wednesday.

Luna took to X to reveal that as she was leaving a hearing with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the top organizer of Code Pink approached her, launched into a harassment campaign, and then physically struck her arm.

“The head honcho of Code Pink here on Capitol Hill decided to try to harass me as I was leaving my hearing with Rubio and smacked my arm,” Luna stated. “I have no issues answering questions, but the moment you touch me, you cross a line.”

While Luna did not name the individual, all signs point to Medea Benjamin, the primary organizer and co-founder of Code Pink. Benjamin has a long and well-documented history of disrupting congressional hearings, confronting government officials, and generally making a nuisance of herself in Washington.

The assault reportedly followed Luna’s pointed questioning of Secretary Rubio regarding Code Pink’s well-documented ties to the Chinese Communist Party, a perfectly legitimate line of inquiry, given the organization’s track record of advocacy that consistently seems to align with Beijing’s interests. Asking uncomfortable questions about a communist-linked organization apparently set someone off.

Luna made clear she will be pressing charges, and rightly so. An assault is an assault, badge of political activism or not.

She also called on House Speaker Mike Johnson to ban Code Pink from Capitol Hill entirely.

That is a completely reasonable demand. There is no scenario in which an organization with known ties to a foreign adversarial government should enjoy unfettered access to the U.S. Capitol, let alone be permitted to physically accost elected officials in its hallways.

Code Pink routinely disrupts the functioning of the United States government while enjoying the very freedoms that government provides, freedoms that don’t exist in the communist nations they seem so fond of defending. The question now is whether Speaker Johnson and other officials will have the backbone to hold these people accountable. Charges should be filed and access should be revoked. Anything less sends exactly the wrong message.

(DC Pundit) – There’s a reason commencement speeches go through an approval process. Apparently, Clayton High School senior Leen Hijaz didn’t get that memo, or simply chose to ignore it.

Hijaz earned the honor of delivering her school’s commencement address in North Carolina thanks to her academic achievements. It’s a well-deserved privilege extended to students who demonstrate excellence. What it is not, however, is an open invitation to commandeer a graduation ceremony and turn it into a political soapbox. Someone should have explained that distinction beforehand.

According to The New York Post, Hijaz ditched her pre-approved remarks midway through her speech to launch into a rant against ICE and push pro-Palestine propaganda to a captive audience of graduating students and their families, people who showed up to celebrate an achievement, not sit through a political lecture.

“Before I leave the stage, I have one last thing to say. Every single person here has a voice; we have the privilege to use it when millions around the world are struggling and suffering to be heard,” Hijaz stated before going off script.

“Whether it’s the millions suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan, and so many other countries around the world, or families being torn apart by ICE. These are not just an issue here; they are happening there, they’re happening right here as I speak,” she continued.

As Hijaz pressed on — “My point is, we’re not given a voice to stay silent” — Principal Melissa Moore had heard enough. Moore walked directly onto the stage, pulled the microphone away, and escorted Hijaz off.

Good for Principal Moore. That took backbone, and frankly, it’s the kind of decisive leadership that’s been sorely missing in far too many American schools these days.

Hijaz, predictably, was not pleased. She later complained that she was only able to deliver half of her speech and, brace yourself, claimed she felt “oppressed.” Getting your microphone cut at a graduation ceremony you hijacked for unauthorized political theater is not oppression. It’s consequences. There’s a difference, and perhaps that’s the most valuable lesson she’ll take away from the whole episode.

Educators who enforce boundaries and protect the integrity of school events deserve support, not condemnation. Principal Moore did exactly what any responsible administrator should do when a student decides the rules don’t apply to them. Here’s hoping more school leaders around the country take note.

(DC Pundit) – Kirkwood, Missouri, is one of those picture-perfect American suburbs that families dream about. Located roughly 15 miles west of St. Louis, the city holds the distinction of being the first planned suburb west of the Mississippi River, having been established in 1853. Parents flock there for its reputable school system, tight-knit community feel, and the kind of safe, wholesome environment where you’d expect school board leaders to, oh, I don’t know, support children rather than call for the murder of a sitting president.

Apparently, nobody sent that memo to Judy Moticka.

Moticka, the current president of the Kirkwood School Board, recently took to Facebook to post “8647” — a now-infamous coded call among the radical left to assassinate President Donald Trump. The number combines “86,” slang for eliminating someone, with “47,” referencing Trump’s status as the 47th President of the United States. It’s the same coded language used by indicted former FBI Director James Comey, who posted a photo of the number on social media.

The woman helping oversee the education of Kirkwood’s children publicly called for the killing of the President of the United States on social media, and had zero reservations about it.

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt brought Moticka’s post to the public’s attention by highlighting it on X, ensuring voters and parents in Kirkwood got a look at exactly who is sitting at the head of their school board.

This is the state of modern left-wing leadership in America, people entrusted with shaping young minds who apparently can’t control their own. Parents in Kirkwood who believed their children were receiving a well-rounded, responsible education might want to take a much closer look at who’s running the show. Because nothing says “role model” quite like publicly endorsing political violence against an elected president.

Moticka’s post is deeply irresponsible and dangerous. At a time when there have been multiple actual assassination attempts against President Trump, this kind of rhetoric from a public official is beyond reckless. It’s the sort of behavior that demands immediate accountability.

The parents of Kirkwood deserve better. Their children certainly do.
