URGENT: CLICK TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE LEFT!
(DC Pundit) – If you’re looking for a reliable source of rock-solid political misinformation delivered with absolute confidence, look no further than The View on ABC. This week, the show’s hosts were busy rolling out the red carpet for the Democratic Socialists of America in New York City. Nothing says “in touch with mainstream America” quite like cheerleading for socialists.
Not to be outdone, Whoopi Goldberg decided to take things a step further by telling her audience that nobody wants voter ID laws. Nobody. Not a soul.
Here’s the thing about that claim, it’s either spectacularly uninformed or spectacularly dishonest, and at this point, it’s genuinely hard to tell which. Probably a generous helping of both. Poll after poll has consistently shown that voter ID is one of the most broadly popular policy positions in the country. We’re talking 80 percent support or higher across multiple surveys, cutting across party lines, racial demographics, and income levels. Some polls push it even closer to 90/10. It’s the kind of issue where the left finds itself so far out of step with the average American that they’ve practically lapped the field going the wrong direction.
And yet here’s Whoopi, sitting comfortably on national television, telling viewers the exact opposite of what the data shows. The View has become less of a talk show and more of a misinformation firehose at this point, and ABC ought to be embarrassed that its name is anywhere near it.

The reason Democrats fight voter ID requirements so aggressively isn’t hard to figure out. Secure elections with verified voters are a real threat to their strategy. You don’t spend this much energy opposing something that “nobody wants” unless you’re the ones who don’t want it.
Most civilized democracies around the world require some form of identification to cast a ballot, including Canada, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. The idea that asking voters to verify who they are is somehow a form of suppression is an argument that wouldn’t survive five minutes of serious scrutiny. But serious scrutiny isn’t exactly The View’s strong suit.
Conservatives have been making the case for election integrity for years. The polling is on their side, common sense is on their side, and the majority of Americans are on their side. Whoopi and the gang can keep insisting otherwise, but the numbers don’t lie, even when the hosts do.
