(DC Pundit) – If you needed any further proof that the radical left has completely lost the plot, look no further than Texas. Maureen Galindo, the Democrat who somehow secured enough votes to advance to a primary runoff for the state’s newly redrawn 35th Congressional District, is now facing serious backlash over a collection of social media posts.
Let’s start with the numbers. Galindo advanced to the runoff with approximately 29% of the vote. Roughly three in ten Texas Democrats looked at this candidate and said “yes, that’s our person.” That alone should tell you something about where a segment of that party’s base currently stands.
Now for the substance, and we use that word loosely. In a recent Instagram post, Galindo laid out her legislative vision with remarkable candor. “When Maureen gets into Congress, she’ll write legislation so that all Zionism and support of Zionism is undoubtedly Anti-Semitic, since it’s Zionists harming the Semites,” she wrote, referring to herself in the third person, which is always a great sign in a political candidate.
It gets significantly worse from there. “She’ll turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officials for human trafficking,” the post continued. She then added, “(It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists).”
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin flagged the posts, noting, “Maureen Galindo, a Democrat running for Congress in TX-35, says in an Instagram post that she would turn an ICE detention center near San Antonio ‘into a prison for American Zionists’, and will also use it as a castration processing center for pedophiles, ‘which will probably be most of the Zionists.'” Melugin added pointedly, “Yes, it’s real, and yes the post is still up. She has a runoff election next week.”

Galindo’s social media history reveals a consistent pattern of anti-Zionist rhetoric, including claims of a “cabal of Jewish zionists” controlling Hollywood, the media, and politicians, talking points that have no place in mainstream American political discourse, let alone coming from someone seeking a seat in the United States Congress.
She has also accused her own runoff opponent, Johnny Garcia, of involvement in a human trafficking conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by “billionaire Zionist Jews.”
When pressed for comment by the San Antonio Current, Galindo claimed she only takes issue with “zionists or those advocating for the existence of a Jewish state in their ancestral homeland,” rather than Jewish people broadly. A distinction she apparently believes makes internment camp proposals perfectly reasonable.
This is today’s Democratic Party on full display. Take note and make sure everyone you know does too.
