(DC Pundit) – A Trump supporter was stabbed in the back outside President Donald Trump’s midterm rally in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Wednesday night while the president was on stage addressing the crowd at the Shoemaker Center on the Ohio University Chillicothe campus.
Video posted by Derek Myers shows the victim with a knife still protruding from the left side of his lower back as officers rush in to detain a person nearby.

Another witness video captured the fight and the stabbing, which appears to have occurred as police tried to break it up. It remains unclear how the altercation started.

The Scioto Valley Guardian confirmed that police detained one individual. As of late Wednesday evening, officials had not released the victim’s condition, the identity of the person detained, any charges, or further details about the incident. Police had already removed protesters from inside the venue earlier in the evening.
Tyler Bowyer of Turning Point Action, whose founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated, shared the video and wrote that “some crazy anti-Trump lunatic stabbed a Trump supporter.” He added, “This is more of the insane political violence stoked by the Left. Pray for the person who was stabbed.”

The rally marked Trump’s third stop in Ohio during the final week before the midterms and featured Sen. Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Supporters turned out to hear the president make the case for Republicans in the upcoming elections, only to have the evening marred by yet another act of violence directed at someone simply attending a Trump event.
This is the same pattern conservatives have watched for years: peaceful rallies met with hostility that somehow never seems to draw the same level of media hand-wringing when the target is on the right. One supporter ends up with a knife in his back, and the response from the usual corners is a shrug or silence.
Voters in Ohio and across the country keep seeing these incidents and drawing their own conclusions about which side actually wants to lower the temperature, and which side keeps turning up the heat.
