(DC Pundit) – The Washington Post has decided that some Trump voters now view Abdul El-Sayed as an “America First” candidate. Does anyone outside the Post’s newsroom actually believe this? It doesn’t even make sense. The man spends most of his time talking about the Middle East, not the concerns of working Americans who put President Trump back in the White House.
El-Sayed himself recently embraced the America First label in a campaign ad that ran on the Fox News and Newsmax networks. Apparently the hope is that a few carefully selected soundbites will convince people he shares the priorities of the voters who rejected the Democratic agenda in 2024. Color us unconvinced.
In Dearborn, Michigan, many Trump 2024 voters describe Abdul El-Sayed as an “America First” Senate candidate due to his opposition to unconditional military aid to Israel and focus on the domestic economy. https://t.co/CAIVbwN8w0

The Post found a Michigan voter named Mustapha El-Jaroudi, 27, and built a story around him. “Mike Rogers will put Israel first,” El-Jaroudi said. Having voted for Trump twice, he now calls the president “a con artist” who betrayed his campaign refrain of “no new wars.” One disgruntled former supporter is presented as evidence of a broader shift. That is some serious journalistic heavy lifting.
It just goes to show the lengths the left-wing media will go to in order to drag this candidate across the finish line. El-Sayed is a progressive Democrat who has made his reputation criticizing American support for Israel and pushing left-wing domestic policies. The idea that he somehow represents the “America First” voters requires a level of creative storytelling that only outlets like the Washington Post seem willing to attempt.
There are literally no MAGA voters who feel that way https://t.co/OBYbe0aJSE

Nobody believes this. Nobody. He's Palestine First and America Last, and everyone knows it.

Republicans watching this race should take note. When the media starts manufacturing narratives about Trump voters defecting to a leftist candidate it’s a sign they are worried. The Post can keep searching for the next Mustapha El-Jaroudi. The people who voted to put President Trump back in office are not buying what they are selling.
