HUGE Trump Announcement: Historic Greenland Deal Gives U.S. PERMANENT Military Access

(DC Pundit) – President Donald Trump delivered on yet another major foreign policy objective Friday evening, announcing a landmark agreement with Denmark and Greenland that grants the United States permanent military rights over the strategically vital Arctic territory, at absolutely no cost to American taxpayers.

For decades, Greenland has been recognized as one of the most geopolitically important pieces of real estate on the planet. Its location in the Arctic makes it a critical vantage point for monitoring Russian and Chinese military activity, and its vast natural resources have long made it a target of interest for U.S. adversaries. Presidents have talked about Greenland’s importance for over a century. Trump actually did something about it.

The agreement also includes a provision banning China, Russia, and any other U.S. adversary from establishing military bases or making sensitive investments in Greenland without express written approval from the United States. That’s a massive strategic win that closes the door on two of America’s most aggressive global competitors gaining a foothold in the Arctic.

Trump announced the deal himself with a statement that pulled no punches:

“BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns.”

He made clear this wasn’t a temporary arrangement with an expiration date. “This is an ‘Infinite Life’ Agreement, there is no end!” Trump declared, adding, “For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation.”

The deal also includes immediate plans for a significant American military presence on the island. “We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many,” Trump stated, noting that construction will move forward in cooperation with the Greenlandic people.

Trump framed the agreement as a victory not just for the United States, but for all allies: “This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies.”

The left spent months mocking Trump’s interest in Greenland, calling it an absurd vanity project. They’re going to need a moment to process this one. While his critics were busy laughing, Trump was busy negotiating, and the result is a cost-free, permanent, strategic agreement that strengthens American security in one of the world’s most contested regions.

That’s what winning looks like.
