(DC Pundit) – Few criminal cases in recent memory have captivated the country quite like the Lindsay Clancy case. In January 2023, the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother used exercise bands to strangle her three young children — Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and 7-month-old Callan, before leaping from a second-story window in what appeared to be a suicide attempt. After years of delays, a trial finally got underway in 2026. And after seven agonizing days of deliberations, the jury couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict. Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4, 2026.
Three dead children. No verdict.
Clancy’s defense pursued an insanity plea, arguing she suffered from severe postpartum psychosis and was dangerously overmedicated at the time of the killings. Whether you find that sympathetic or not, the fact remains that prosecutors charged her with three counts of murder and strangulation, and the jury still couldn’t agree.
Now we’re learning why.
Michael Marcel of Fugitive TV on YouTube tracked down the lone juror who refused to go along with the rest of the panel. According to Marcel, the holdout juror was described as “very kind” and Catholic, and here’s where it gets interesting. The juror believes he is being targeted following the mistrial, and he has a theory about why: he’s a Republican. A Black Republican with conservative views.
“He thinks he knows why he might be getting targeted. He’s a Republican. He is a black Republican. He has conservative views. He believes he might be getting targeted because of that. Because the media and the reporters, as you could see, they kind of have left views. He was in a juror panel with people of the Democratic Party,” Marcel reported.
So a man tried to hold the line for three murdered children, and now he’s being targeted for it, because he’s a conservative. The left loves to crow about justice, but apparently justice has a party affiliation.
The mistrial means prosecutors can pursue a retrial, and the defense has already filed a motion asking the court to end the case without a second jury. Whether these three babies ultimately get the justice they deserve remains to be seen. What is already clear is that one man had the courage to stand firm, and he’s being made to suffer for it.
