URGENT: CLICK TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE LEFT!
(DC Pundit) – America turns 250 years old this July 4th, a milestone so historic that even the most cynical among us might pause to appreciate just how remarkable this country’s story has been. Most Americans, anyway. Democrats, it turns out, have other plans.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted June 12–15 among 1,537 U.S. adults asked Americans how they intended to celebrate Independence Day. The results were telling, and for anyone paying attention, not the least bit surprising.
A solid 64% of Republicans said they would display an American flag or flag bunting outside their home this July 4th. The number for Democrats? A dismal 27%. And before anyone suggests that’s just a fluke, an earlier poll this month found that fewer than one in five Democrats are proud to be Americans. So really, the flag display numbers are right on brand.
The divide doesn’t stop there. Nearly two-thirds of Republicans, 65%, said July 4th is “a day where I celebrate the United States of America.” Only 24% of Democrats said the same. Both Democrats and independents were also significantly more likely than Republicans to describe Independence Day as “just like any other day,” registering 11 percentage points higher than Republicans on that measure. Just another Tuesday, apparently. Never mind that men bled and died for the freedom these folks take for granted every single day.

The contrast becomes even more striking when you consider the images coming out of this summer’s World Cup, with tourists from Scotland and other countries visiting the U.S. and visibly loving every minute of it. Foreign visitors are celebrating America more enthusiastically than a significant chunk of its own citizens.
Of course, none of this is new. Anyone who watched the 2024 Democratic National Convention will recall the moment organizers scrambled to hand out miniature American flags to the audience in a transparent attempt to manufacture some patriotic optics for the cameras. The liberal media dutifully played along, treating it as genuine. It wasn’t.
The left’s relationship with this country has always been conditional. When they hold power, America is worth celebrating. When they don’t, July 4th is just another day on the calendar.
