(DC Pundit) – The foiled terror plot targeting the White House UFC Freedom 250 event just got significantly more explosive, and significantly more politically inconvenient for the open-borders crowd.
It has now been revealed that the alleged mastermind behind the attack was a Mexican illegal alien who had been living in the United States for more than 20 years under Barack Obama’s controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, better known as DACA. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Thursday that the suspect, identified as Abraham Alvarez, entered the country illegally and never left.
DACA, which Obama implemented via executive action in 2012, shielded hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from deportation. Conservatives have long argued the program created exactly the kind of legal gray area that allows individuals like Alvarez to remain on American soil indefinitely. This week, those concerns got a very loud exclamation point.
According to the FBI and Department of Justice, Alvarez operated under the alias “Shepherd” in an encrypted messaging app and served as the primary architect of the plot. The DOJ stated that “the conspirators allegedly planned to deploy drones armed with explosives in and around the UFC Freedom 250 event in order to force an evacuation of the event and then planned to deploy snipers to fire upon ‘high value targets’ within the fleeing crowd.”

The criminal complaint paints a chilling picture. Alvarez allegedly posted detailed tactical instructions in the group chat, writing: “This is the best action I see. Position your teams in the purple dots (counter sniper and drones) Long range (circled area) (great shot) Easy out into the river.” He also allegedly directed a co-conspirator to build explosive drones, instructing them to make “as many and as deadly as we can get.”
Beyond the attack itself, Alvarez allegedly provided logistical support to the broader network, directing conspirators to a church in Nebraska to serve as a safe zone and a “pick up location,” while also identifying drone launch points and sniper positions in the areas surrounding the White House.
He is one of five individuals arrested in connection with the plot. Twenty-three people in total have been identified as allegedly involved in the planning.
Twenty-three people. Coordinated. Organized. And led by someone who never should have been here in the first place.
