(DC Pundit) – Hillary Clinton is at it again, dusting off one of the left’s most tired and thoroughly debunked talking points to push back against basic election security measures.
During a recent public appearance, the twice-failed presidential candidate climbed back onto her soapbox to rail against Republicans who support common-sense voter integrity measures. “They’re trying to kick people off of voter rolls,” Clinton said. “They’re trying to demand…you know…forms of identification most real people don’t have, and most older people, and most rural people don’t have. They are certainly redistricting to make it difficult to elect black representatives or Latino representatives or Democrats. So, that means that we have to be even more intentional in showing up and voting.”
Most “real people” don’t have a driver’s license or a passport? That’s a bold claim. Approximately half of all Americans currently hold a valid passport. Military IDs are also acceptable forms of identification under the SAVE Act, so apparently our men and women in uniform aren’t “real people” either, according to Clinton’s logic. Good to know.

And the swipe at rural Americans is particularly rich. This is the same line of reasoning that failed 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris used to suggest that people living outside major cities were practically incapable of obtaining ID.

Funny how the most self-sufficient people in America, folks who can fix a tractor, manage hundreds of acres of land, and survive a harsh winter without a DoorDash order, are supposedly helpless when it comes to getting a photo ID.
Here’s the reality Clinton conveniently ignores: the overwhelming majority of Americans support voter ID laws. In fact, even 50 percent of registered Democrats back the SAVE Act. So who exactly is out of touch with “real people” here?

The left’s insistence that requiring identification to vote is somehow discriminatory has always been one of the more condescending arguments in their playbook. They’ve spent decades convincing minority communities that they are incapable of obtaining what most Americans already carry in their wallets on a daily basis.
Any Republican in Congress who lacks the backbone to support the SAVE Act is every bit as complicit in this charade as Clinton herself.
